This morning, Samsung officially introduced its new high-end smartphone – Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G. Along with the design inspired by Galaxy S21, the new device comes with all of the latest and most advanced features that we could expect from any flagship of this generation.

Aside from offering the best hardware specs, the Galaxy S21 FE’s software side is impressive as well. It comes with the newest Android 12 based One UI 4.0 operating system. This makes Samsung Galaxy S21 FE the first-ever phone to run on the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 OS out of the box.

Although this should come as no surprise as we’ve already heard rumors about it. Still, we consider it an important topic to talk about. Since the Galaxy S21 FE comes pre-installed with the Android 12 based One UI 4.0 version, it will get more major operating system updates over the other Galaxy S21 devices.

According to Samsung’s software update policy, the smartphones that come with Android 11 OS will be upgraded to Android 14. At the same time, whichever One UI version the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE runs on, the device is eligible for the Android 15 update.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Specifications

Starting with the display, the Galaxy S21 FE sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with Super Smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate in Game Mode. It equips both, Samsung’s Exynos 2100 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset.

The phone has a 12MP main camera along with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie shooter. Moreover, the device features a powerful 4,500mAh battery. The battery supports 25W Super fast charging and is capable to charge the battery by more than 50% in just 30 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 to feature S24 Ultra-inspired screen design

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Cover Screen Design

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 cover display design appears to be inspired by Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung insider posted a video of the alleged Galaxy Z Fold 6 screen glass, showcasing a squarish design with ditched rounded corners.

IceUniverse leaked out the cover screen design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 through tempered film. The third-party accessory indicates the S24 Ultra screen design could be seen in Samsung’s next foldable phone.

The tempered film lacks inner rounded corners seen in the previous foldables by Samsung. It means the display visibility area will be increased to reach the squarish form, introducing an enhanced design language.

Bezels surrounding the screen might also go thinner, thanks to generational enhancements. The screen ratio is also getting improved as part of offering a better user experience and making the cover screen even more user-centric.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 on July 10 in Paris. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also join the launch at Unpacked in July. The company is also developing an Ultra Fold, which hasn’t appeared on benchmarks so far.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip. It’s rumored that the Exynos 2400 chip would be shipped with Galaxy Z Flip 6 in some regions outside the United States.

Nano-texture Glass: Apple counters Samsung’s S24 Ultra with its anti-reflective display tech

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra anti-reflective screen

Apple expanded its Nano-texture Glass to a touch-based device for the first time. The latest iPad Pro comes with Apple’s anti-reflective display technology, hinting at a potential debut with the iPhone 17 Pro Max this year.

Samsung partnered with Corning to debut an anti-reflective display with Galaxy S24 Ultra. The advanced display glass technology makes the S24 Ultra stand apart from its rivals, thanks to its anti-glare screen, which is durable too.

Previously, Apple used the nano-texture glass on the Pro Display XDR, iMac, and Studio Display. Debut with the latest iPad Pro makes us speculate that it could be expanded further to iPhone models this year.

The company developed it for users who work in high-end, color-managed workflows, or challenging lighting conditions. It maintains image quality and contrast alongside scattering ambient light for reduced glare.

MacRumors report that Apple consumers willing to purchase iPad Pro with an anti-reflective screen can get it with 1TB and 2TB models for an additional cost of $100, bringing the 11″ model’s price to $1,699 or $2,099.
