Samsung November 2021 security patch debuts with One UI 4 Beta 3 for Galaxy S21
Recently, Samsung kicked off the latest One UI 4 Beta build to the Galaxy S21 series smartphones in South Korea. The changelog of this update mentions several improvements along with some newly added features for the Beta participants.
In addition to the features, impressively, Samsung has also included the most up-to-date November 2021 security patch [Source]. However, we are ten days ahead of the next month, the Korean tech giant has already seeded the latest patches while Google is busy distributing the October patch to Pixels.
To be mentioned, the users are getting the latest November 2021 security patch via PDA version numbers – G991NKSU3ZUJB, G996NKSU3ZUJB and G998NKSU3ZUJB for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra respectively.
Obviously, the company is yet to reveal the November 2021 security bulletin that details the content of this release. Meanwhile, it’s expected to be released in the first week of next month, which means, more than ten days later. We’ll keep you updated on this matter.
If you don’t know, last year, Samsung released the latest security patch with Android 11-based One UI 3 Beta for the Galaxy S20 series seventeen days ahead of the next month, proving the capabilities of its software development department.

The most notable aspect of this week’s update is the beginning of the One UI 6.1 Phase II rollout. Flagship devices such as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, and the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Z Flip 3 began receiving the One UI 6.1 update. This update was anticipated to bring new features and a refreshed interface to enhance the user experience with selected AI features.
However, Samsung encountered some issues with the new software such as device rebooting and lock screen. As a result, the company reportedly temporarily stopped the rollout of One UI 6.1 and reverted the affected devices to the previous One UI 6.0 version.
Looking ahead, Samsung will reportedly begin the One UI 6.1 Phase III rollout on May 14 in Canada. This phase will include the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A53.
This week’s updates also extend to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, XCover 7, and XCover 6 Pro, which received support for 4G in Europe. This update specifically revises the LTE TDD band support. For devices purchased in Germany, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries, aligning with regional network requirements.

Samsung has started rolling out the advanced 4G band support update for Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, Galaxy XCover 7, and Galaxy XCover 6 devices. The update 4G network compatibility by enhancing the band.
The fresh update has revised support for the LTE TDD band. For German-purchased devices, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
In addition, the update also improves the security and stability of the device. It also fixes some issues for error-free services.
