Samsung’s October 2021 update for Galaxy Z Flip 3 enables Portrait mode for pets
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is Samsung’s second-generation clamshell-type foldable screen smartphone, which was launched back in August 2021. Recently, the company pushed a new software update for the foldable phone that brings a newer security patch and enables new functionality for pet lovers.
According to the info, the latest Galaxy Z Flip 3 software update installs the October 2021 security patch for better system stability. Aside from this, the release also enables the Portrait mode of system camera function for capturing images of pets (cats and dogs).
Identified via PDA firmware version F711BXXU2AUJ7, the new Galaxy Z Flip 3 firmware update is currently rolling out to random consumers in a staged manner. If we talk about the changes, the company claims that the Portrait mode works with both front and rear cameras of the smartphone.

The common vulnerability exposure is rated as HIGH leveled flaw, with the description reading “A Use-After-Free in the mobile processor leads to privilege escalation.” The affected chipsets are Exynos 9820, 9825, 980, 990, 850, W920.
How to install:
Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra users can easily install the October patch. Head towards Settings, followed by Software update and Download and install. Ensure connectivity to an unmetered connection for seamless installation.

Samsung confirmed One UI 7 Beta will launch by the end of this year. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be invited in the first phase of the rollout. The Beta will also be available for general consumers apart from the Developers’ community.
