Apple iPhone Duo phone’s folding and unfolding animation, which makes the interface appear to move naturally with the hinge, could soon find its way onto competing Android foldable phones.
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station reportedly suggested that Chinese foldable phone manufacturers are studying the iPhone Duo animation closely, with one company already having created a similar implementation.
Apple’s first foldable iPhone has only been available as a showcase for a few days, but one of its smallest software touches is already attracting attention from Android manufacturers.
When the iPhone Duo is opened or closed, the screen content does not simply disappear from one display and reappear on the other. Instead, Apple uses a blur-heavy transition that gives the impression that the interface is physically moving with the device.
It is a small detail, but it makes the change between the cover and inner displays feel more connected to the actual movement of the phone. Apple has also designed iOS 27 so that content reacts as the device folds, reorients, and switches between displays.

A Galaxy Z Fold 8 owner recreated the iPhone Duo-style transition by using the phone’s hinge sensor to control an animation as the device opens and closes.
The demonstration quickly gained attention on Reddit, showing that the underlying hardware can already provide the information needed to make this kind of effect possible.

Samsung may not be making the telephoto camera change that recently surfaced in the Galaxy S27 Ultra rumor mill. A well-known Samsung tipster has pushed back against a claim that the upcoming flagship will replace its 5x periscope camera with a larger 4x telephoto sensor.
According to @UniverseIce, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will continue using a 1/2.52-inch sensor for its 5x periscope telephoto camera. The tipster described the competing claim as false and said the information he has received has consistently pointed toward the same 5x setup.
The disputed rumor suggested that Samsung would remove the 5x telephoto camera and instead introduce a 4x telephoto camera using a much larger 1/1.9-inch sensor.
However, Ice Universe says that isn’t happening, at least according to the information currently available to him. This doesn’t necessarily mean Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra camera system will remain unchanged.
The company could still make improvements to image processing, optics, stabilization, or other cameras while retaining the existing 5x periscope approach.

Samsung has also been gradually refining the Ultra series’ long-range photography rather than making radical changes every generation. If this latest information holds, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could continue that approach.
For now, the 1/2.52-inch 5x telephoto should be treated as leaked info rather than an official spec. Samsung is still months away from unveiling the Galaxy S27 lineup, leaving plenty of room for the camera hardware to change before launch.

Samsung is preparing a notable display upgrade for its next flagship generation. The Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are reportedly set to become the company’s first smartphones to use Samsung Display’s latest M16 OLED material set.
According to an industry report, Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display have finalized plans to introduce M16 OLED panels on the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra next year.
The M16 generation has already begun appearing in other premium smartphones from Google, Apple and iQOO, making its arrival on Samsung’s own flagship phones a logical next step.
Samsung is also expected to use display technologies such as Color Filter on Encapsulation (COE) and Privacy Display to create clearer differentiation between the S27 models.
Additionally, the company could move the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus from the M13 material used across recent generations to M14, marking the first material-set change for the base models in several years.
All four Galaxy S27 models are expected to use Samsung Display panels, with reported sizes ranging from 6.27 inches on the standard model to 6.89 inches on the Ultra.
The Galaxy S27 lineup is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2027. If these plans hold, Samsung will be refreshing its OLED technology across the entire flagship family rather than limiting the generational display change to its most expensive models.

Samsung could soon launch its new premium tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. A new leak has now given us a possible launch date. The company has not confirmed the date yet, but the new tablets are expected to bring better design and performance.
According to tipster Evan Blass, Samsung may launch the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra on October 7. This means the tablets could arrive early next month. The leaked date also matches earlier reports that Samsung could launch its new tablets in late September or early October.
Samsung has already confirmed that it is working on new premium tablets. The company mentioned its upcoming tablets during its Q2 2026 earnings call. More details are expected to appear as the launch gets closer.
Earlier leaked press renders gave us a better look at the two tablets. Both models are expected to come in Gray and Silver colors. They will also support the S Pen. The Tab S12+ is shown with one camera on the back, while the Tab S12 Ultra appears to have two rear cameras.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could also get a big performance boost. An early Geekbench 7 test showed scores of 2,760 points in single-core and 9,291 points in multi-core.
Samsung is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Based on leaked results, the new tablet could be around 21% faster in single-core and 16% faster in multi-core performance than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Samsung has not officially confirmed these details yet. Stay tuned.
Samsung Galaxy A08 4G has been listed on the Virgin Megastore UAE website. The listing has revealed the phone’s specifications, features, price, and colour options.
As per the leaked information, the Galaxy A08 4G comes with a large 6.7-inch PLS LCD display. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which can make scrolling and animations look smoother.
For cameras, the phone is expected to have two cameras on the back. These include a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera. It may have an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
