AutoPro X brings Samsung DeX to your car’s dashboard unit
Samsung DeX functionality will soon be coming to your car dashboard through AutoPro X. A product known as AutoPro X has been developed, which aims to offer the functionality of your DeX-supported Galaxy smartphone on your car’s dashboard unit.
AutoPro X is easy to set up as it requires no complex setup. However, it’s said to work with the most recent Galaxy smartphones and include Android Auto support. Thanks to the innovative idea behind AutoPro X, it could become common in the future.
While developers cite that most modern Galaxy phones are supported, you can ensure your device has Android Auto. If yes, you will get your hands on AutoPro X and as soon as you plug in, Samsung DeX will be deployed in your car immediately in ready to its ready-use state.
Many Samsung smartphone users don’t use DeX, but its edge led Google to create a similar solution. Android’s native Desktop Mode will be offered to recent Pixel phones with Android 15 update. Now, the solution is ready to offer epic experiences on your car’s dashboard.

Samsung will reveal the third-gen GAA applied in the 2nm (SF2) process at the VLSI Symposium 2024 BusinessKorea reports. The company will likely commence mass production based on its next-gen (2nm) fabrication process next year.
High production costs and economic downturn benefitted TSMC in 3nm products. Apple’s latest chip is fabricated on a 3 nanometer process node, while the latest Snapdragon chips still utilize 4nm tech. Meanwhile, Samsung aims for third-gen GAA to apply in the 2nm process.
Well, Taiwan’s TSMC is also targeting GAA technology for 2nm products. Faster adoption and production are expected to push Samsung Foundry to gain clients. Competitive pricing would also benefit it bringing back consumers like Qualcomm for Snapdragon.
Samsung GAA
Samsung’s GAA is a next-gen transistor technology, which regulates and amplifies or switches off the flow of current within a semiconductor. It features a redesigned transistor architecture to overcome problems like current flow in smaller semiconductors to improve power efficiency.

Samsung today announced financial results for the first quarter of 2024. Thanks to higher prices for memory semiconductors and strong Galaxy S24 sales, the company posted KRW 71.92 trillion (about $52.3 billion) in consolidated revenue in the first three months.

- Revenue: 71.92 trillion Korean won (about $52.3 billion)
- Operating profit: 6.61 trillion Korean won
The Korean tech giant revealed operating profit increased to KRW 6.61 trillion as the Memory Business returned to profit. Besides, the MX (Mobile eXperience) Business posted higher earnings and the Visual Display and Digital Appliances businesses also recorded increased profitability.
The DS Division posted KRW 23.14 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 1.91 trillion in operating profit for the first quarter. The company also disclosed that the development of advanced 3nm and 2nm technologies is progressing smoothly.
Samsung’s mobile business scored revenue and operating profit growth due to overwhelming sales of the Galaxy S24 series. In particular, Galaxy AI features on the S24, such as Circle to Search, continued to see high usage rates and contributed to sales growth.

Samsung Boss Lee fled Germany to discuss potential partnerships with ZEISS. The official toured to ZEISS headquarters in Oberkochen and discussed cooperation in the nanometer processes field.
Per the announcement, Samsung plans to lead the sub 3nm ultra-fine process in the foundry market and start mass production of 6th-generation, 10-nanometer DRAMs using EUV processes by the end of the year.
This news comes right after TSMC revealed its roadmap of production on the 1.6nm process. The Korean tech giant is confident that its Gate-All-Around (GAA) tech will make it the market leader in the 2nm process.
“Collaboration with ZEISS will enable us to improve the performance and production processes of next-generation semiconductors and increase yield,” Samsung Electronics said.

Galaxy Camera x ZEISS
ZEISS-branded camera come in vivo smartphones, hence, this collaboration is unlikely as Samsung doesn’t want any other branding for Galaxy’s camera. The company uses ISOCELL and Sony image sensors in Galaxy devices.
Previously, it was rumored that Samsung considering collaborating with Olympus. However, we haven’t seen any further development in the story and the company’s plans on promoting camera with unique branding.
Lee’s visit to ZEISS is all about partnership in process technology. Samsung Foundry is looking to attract clients as it already left behind TSMC in the market as well as losing consumers like Qualcomm.
