YouTube Music for Android bringing a new and compact Cast UI
YouTube Music is one of the most popular music streaming services and offers a seamless way to enjoy your favorite tunes on various devices. The company is now planning to enhance it more by bringing a new Cast UI.
According to the information, YouTube Music is testing a redesign of the Cast UI that makes use of a bottom sheet. The new Cast UI is much more compact and elegant, and it looks similar to the video player settings from the main YouTube app. It also follows the iOS version of YouTube Music.

The new UI shows a list of “Suggested” and “Other devices” that you can cast to, and it also has rounded corners for a smoother look instead of a “Cast to a device” box. You get a minimal “Playing on” sheet that only shows a volume slider while casting.
Moreover, it also aligns with Google’s push for a “Persistent Cast icon” that will make it easier for users to see and access the Cast button whenever they need it. The new Cast UI is still in testing and not widely available yet and is expected to roll out to more users in the coming weeks or months.

WhatsApp has rolled out a new stable update, which brings several useful features for managing communities and group chats. It is available for Android users with version 2.24.18.80 on the Google Play Store.
The fresh update adds the ability to transfer community ownership. Before, this was only available to those using the beta version of WhatsApp, but now it’s available to everyone.
Now, community owners can now easily hand over their admin rights to another admin. This can be done through the community settings, just select a new admin >> confirm the transfer, and the new owner will get a notification about their new role.
