Samsung’s Galaxy AI-Powered Live Translate on Galaxy S24 Ultra
Samsung’s Galaxy AI-powered Galaxy S24 series comes with a Live Translate feature, breaking language barriers. With the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Live Translate feature, talking to anyone in another language is suddenly easier.
Live Translate is one of the many features of the Galaxy S24 Ultra powered by on-device AI, which keeps phone calls private and secure. What’s more, this on-device AI processes calls quickly, even compared to the online version.

To make the reservation, a Korean editor first pressed the Live Translate button on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and then dialed the number. Once she connected with a restaurant employee, an automated message announced, “Hello. This call is being translated and live captioned.”
“Hello, how may I help you?” replied a restaurant hostess on the other line.
The editor responded in Korean, “Hello! I’d like to make a reservation for this Thursday at 1:30 PM.” After pausing to listen to the translation, the restaurant asked for the total number of people.
The editor continued in Korean, “Six. Can I make a reservation for a window seat?” The Live Translate feature then seamlessly conveyed this message to the restaurant employee in English.
At present, the Galaxy AI’s Live Translate feature supports up to 13 languages, offering both audio and onscreen text translations of conversations. It remembers the language used for each person contacted, automatically setting it for future calls.
Adding to this, it also functions seamlessly across all phone types — even a landline. When the Korean editor first tried it out, she was amazed at how immediately the language barrier disappeared.

Samsung teases wearable revolution: Rectangular Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, Ring?
Samsung is rumored to bring a rectangular Galaxy Watch, Watch 7 Pro or Ultra, and Galaxy Ring later this year. In a recent press release, the company shared a sneak peek at its wearable revolution, indicating new form factors and hardware upgrades.
According to Samsung’s press release, changes in its wearable strategy are likely. Galaxy Ring, which was unveiled earlier this year was mentioned in the release, whereas there were hints about some upgrades that were rumored in the recent past.
Rectangular form factor?
It was rumored that the company will bring back the rectangular design to its Galaxy Watch this year. With the Galaxy Watch 7, Samsung is also rumored to bring a third variant, probably the Pro or Ultra. Hence, a rectangular design with the additional variant might debut.
For its wearable segment, Samsung noted that it will “strive to meet the demand for upgrades through the launch of new premium models.” The additional variant coming this year will likely offer longer battery life, more advanced sensors, and probably a 3nm chipset.
The new 3nm-based Exynos wearable SoC might power the entire Watch 7 lineup. Samsung’s System LSI will focus on “preparing to ship products based on advanced technologies for new wearables”. The 3nm chip may have 50% more power efficiency than the previous generation.
Sensor-related advancement might mean non-invasive Blood Sugar monitoring. The company recently revealed that AI would unlock painless sugar monitoring. The industry expects that the Watch 7 (or at least the most premium variant) will debut this feature.
Samsung may announce the release of the Galaxy Ring at July Unpacked.
