iPhone 17 lineup (Air too) rumored to feature Samsung’s best OLED display—absent on Galaxy S25 Ultra

Apple iPhone 16

Apple will launch new flagship iPhones in the third quarter. This year, the company is expected to replace the Plus model with a new Air variant. New information sheds light on Apple’s M14 OLED display decision for the iPhone 17 series.

A rumor suggests that Apple may use Samsung’s M14 OLED display across the iPhone 17 lineup. The company may launch four iPhone models in the third quarter including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone maker is expanding the adoption of Samsung’s best screen technology. This would bring the vanilla and Air models closer to the Pro series. The upgraded screen supports increased brightness and color production.

While Apple is expanding the adoption of modern displays, Samsung has skipped the M14 OLED on the Galaxy S25 series. The new Galaxy flagships reportedly use the same OLED as the S24 series featured M13 material set.

Samsung has notably improved the display’s performance but it can’t fill the gap left by hardware differences. AI ProScaler plays a key role in elevating the display experience but the Galaxy S25 series should have adopted the latest M14 OLED.

Well, Samsung Display is going to significantly benefit from this move. M14 is the latest OLED screen technology developed by Samsung. It was featured in Google’s Pixel 9 series and Apple iPhone 16 Pro models last year.

Teardown reveals Galaxy S25 Ultra has Bluetooth S Pen setup without functionality

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen

Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone along with several new features but without Bluetooth support for the S Pen. Now, a recent teardown of the Galaxy S25 Ultra has revealed an unexpected disappointment for fans of the S Pen.

The S Pen of the Galaxy S25 Ultra still has a circuit board designed for Bluetooth functionality, but the necessary Bluetooth components are missing. This follows earlier reports that the phone has a charging coil, which would be needed for a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen, even though it isn’t powered.

The teardown was done by iFixit, who used a Lumafield’s Neptune CT scanner to look inside the S Pen. It reveals that the layout of the S Pen in the Galaxy S25 Ultra is almost identical to the one in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, the main Bluetooth parts, such as the capacitor needed for charging, are completely missing in the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s model.

This is too surprising because earlier leaks showed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could work with a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen. Many users were excited about the possibility of having features like remote camera controls and Air Actions. Now, it looks like Samsung is fully removing the Bluetooth support for S Pen.

But why did Samsung remove Bluetooth support from the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen? There may be two reasons. The first reason is that Samsung might have decided to cut costs or found that people weren’t using the Bluetooth features enough. Another is that Samsung is saving this functionality for a future premium S Pen accessory.

Currently, it is not clear but we can expect more information about S Pen Bluetooth support in the future. Stay tuned.

Samsung Galaxy A56 Renders

Samsung is going to launch 2025 ‘s Galaxy A series phones, which include Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. Ahead of the launch, press renders of Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 phones have been leaked, giving us a closer look at the design and features.

Recently, a reliable tipster @MysteryLupin shared renders of the upcoming Galaxy Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26 phones on X. These renders show the colors and design of these phones.

A common feature in all three models is their camera design. The cameras have an amazing look with a clean, round ring around the lenses. However, the side and bottom bezels on these phones are a bit thicker compared to other phones in the same price range.

The Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 will run on One UI 7.0 and will receive six major updates over time. The A56 and A36 models will be water- and dust-resistant with an IP67 rating, making them durable for everyday use.

Moreover, several leaks suggested a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro camera, along with a new 12MP front camera. The phone is expected to keep the 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. It will feature the Exynos 1580 chip, 8GB of RAM, and Android 15.

Renders show the amazing color of the Galaxy A36. It is possibly slightly shorter but wider and thinner than the A35 5G.

The smartphone will reportedly use a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip instead of Exynos or MediaTek chips found in older models. It will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it will pack with a 50MP main camera, 12MP front camera, and 5000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Battery

A new rumor crushes the Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship’s 7,000mAh battery hype yet carries a piece of convincing news. Samsung may finally surpass the 5,000mAh battery bound in its flagship phones, starting with the Galaxy S26 series.

Leaker PandaFlash reports that the S26 Ultra will not be packed with a 7,000mAh battery. Beyond that, the source highlighted that the phone won’t even reach 6000mAh capacity as Samsung Test Lab allegedly has up to 5500mAh battery.

It seems to be a big downgrade (everything in rumors), but the S26 Ultra may finally bring a 5500mAh battery. Things may be even better if Samsung finally jumps to the next-gen silicon carbon battery technology next year.

Compared to lithium-ion, silicon carbon batteries improve the capacity by at least 10 percent. The new material will keep the size intact while boosting the capacity. A significant jump can only be possible if Samsung opts for Si/C batteries.

Meanwhile, Samsung is prioritizing software optimization to increase efficiency. Similar to Apple, the company is working on One UI tweaks and background app processes to elevate Galaxy’s battery life rather than raising battery capacity.

A few days back, a Korean outlet’s report circulated with big battery hypes. It was confidently reported that Samsung is considering 6,000mAh to 7,000mAh capacity battery for its next-generation flagship smartphones.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be launched in January 2026. There’s a whole year and genuine inputs may appear after the debut of Z7 series foldables yet you can enjoy the tech world, which continues to evolve further.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not feature under-display camera due to quality concerns

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Under Display Selfie Camera

Samsung may avoid under-display selfie camera technology in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company may continue its Infinity-O screen approach for an additional two to three years.

According to the info, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may not feature an under-display camera. The technology is yet to be matured and has concerns like low resolution and quality.

Samsung doesn’t really want to compromise on the picture quality of the selfie camera. Therefore, UDC would remain a dream feature until it matures and clears its technological hurdles.

Under display/panel camera technology refers to a next-gen display that makes the selfie camera hole hidden when not in use, you only see the black sensor cutout when the camera is in use.

Earlier, rumors spread that the early S26 Ultra prototype had UDC technology. Samsung’s Display division was suspected to be considering under-display tech for the next-gen flagship.

However, the new input from a different leaker indicates that UDC isn’t coming anytime soon. Samsung has applied an under-display camera in its foldable lineup, starting with the Z Fold 3.

The Korean tech giant has just released the new Galaxy S26 series. Now, preparations are underway for a pair of mid-range phones along with the Galaxy S25 Edge (coming around April).

In the second half, the company will introduce next-generation foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to debut a more enhanced under-panel camera technology this year.
