Samsung is rumored to bring a rectangular Galaxy Watch, Watch 7 Pro or Ultra, and Galaxy Ring later this year. In a recent press release, the company shared a sneak peek at its wearable revolution, indicating new form factors and hardware upgrades.

According to Samsung’s press release, changes in its wearable strategy are likely. Galaxy Ring, which was unveiled earlier this year was mentioned in the release, whereas there were hints about some upgrades that were rumored in the recent past.

Rectangular form factor?

It was rumored that the company will bring back the rectangular design to its Galaxy Watch this year. With the Galaxy Watch 7, Samsung is also rumored to bring a third variant, probably the Pro or Ultra. Hence, a rectangular design with the additional variant might debut.

For its wearable segment, Samsung noted that it will “strive to meet the demand for upgrades through the launch of new premium models.” The additional variant coming this year will likely offer longer battery life, more advanced sensors, and probably a 3nm chipset.

The new 3nm-based Exynos wearable SoC might power the entire Watch 7 lineup. Samsung’s System LSI will focus on “preparing to ship products based on advanced technologies for new wearables”. The 3nm chip may have 50% more power efficiency than the previous generation.

Sensor-related advancement might mean non-invasive Blood Sugar monitoring. The company recently revealed that AI would unlock painless sugar monitoring. The industry expects that the Watch 7 (or at least the most premium variant) will debut this feature.

Samsung may announce the release of the Galaxy Ring at July Unpacked.

Samsung has pushed a new update for the Customization Service app, which arrives with version 3.5.01.4. The new update is available for Galaxy devices with an installation package size of 26.18MB.

The new update improves the performance and stability of the service to enhance the user experience. It also fixes some issues that users encountered in the previous version. However, no new feature or change noted.

Samsung Customization Service uses the information collected from the users’ devices, apps, and services to provide them with customized content and recommendations. Samsung devices, apps, and services are designed to provide you with customized services by supporting your desires and needs smartly and intelligently.

The fresh update enhances the performance of the Customization Service more. Users can download and install it by going to Galaxy Store’s Menu options and then the Updates section. Alternatively, users can also get the update from a third-party link given here.

Samsung TV Plus introduced a suite of major league channels, delivering live sports from Major League Baseball (MLB), The PGA TOUR, the American Hockey League (AHL), and ONEChampionship (MMA), along with Formula 1’s first FAST channel.

Music, Mattel, and more

Samsung also partnered with Warner Music to support nearly 500 existing premium national and local channels on TV Plus. Available at the dedicated Music destination, Warner Music will feature exclusive music playlists like The Drop and Artist Odyssey.

The South Korean tech giant has recently announced a partnership with Mattel to launch three new channels, “Barbie and Friends by Mattel,” “Hot Wheels Action by Mattel,” and “Mattel Jr” on its FAST-based content delivery platform.
