- In case both screens are broken, you may end up spending roughly €1290 (~$1500), while the new Galaxy Z Fold7 costs $2,000.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 starts at a huge $2,000 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the 512GB model costs $2,120 in the US. There’s a third configuration, which costs $2,420 and brings 16GB RAM and 1TB (1024GB) memory.
Galaxy Z Flip 7
Getting the Galaxy Z Flip7’s main screen replaced costs €342 (~$398), while the cover OLED costs €207 (~$240). These are just component prices, and your bill would have an additional entry of labour charges and regional taxes.

Apple seeks Samsung’s help to beat Galaxy S25 and S26 in USA

Apple demands discounted screens from Samsung Display to reduce the USA tariff burden, ultimately striving to keep the iPhone 17 cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy S26 series launching early next year.
According to TheBell, Apple is pressuring (or seeking help) Samsung Display and LG Display to offer iPhone 17 OLED screens at discounted prices. Apple expects the iPhone 17 price may go up due to heavy US tariffs on imports.
Samsung is determined to be a core OLED supplier for the iPhone 17 lineup. Apple expects Samsung would offer cheaper screens so its upcoming iPhone 17 series remains competitive against the Galaxy S25 and upcoming S26 series in the USA.
Here’s the Galaxy S25 vs iPhone 16 price comparison:
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and Apple’s iPhone 16 start at $799 in the US. The Galaxy S25+ and iPhone 16 Pro share the same price, $999, with the iPhone 16 Plus costing $100 less. The top-tier models: the iPhone 16 Pro Max is $100 cheaper than the S25 Ultra.
Model | Storage | RAM | Price |
---|---|---|---|
Galaxy S25 | 128GB | 12GB | $799.99 |
Galaxy S25+ | 256GB | 12GB | $999.99 |
Galaxy S25 Ultra | 256GB | 12GB | $1,299.99 |
Galaxy S25 Ultra | 1TB | 12GB | $1,659.99 |
iPhone 16 | 128GB | 8GB | $799 |
iPhone 16 Plus | 128GB | 8GB | $899 |
iPhone 16 Pro | 128GB | 8GB | $999 |
iPhone 16 Pro Max | 256GB | 8GB | $1,199 |
iPhone 16 Pro Max | 1TB | 8GB | $1,599 |
Note: The prices mentioned in the table are list prices, not the current ones.
Think the iPhone 17 series costs the same as the iPhone 16 series, it would keep an edge over Samsung’s flagships in the US. If Apple increases the price, it would somewhat match Samsung’s models, which doesn’t seem favorable.
The report suggests that LG Display has agreed to Apple’s proposal of OLEDs are discounted rates. Meanwhile, Samsung’s display arm is said to be negotiating the deal with Apple over its demands for an affordable screen supply.

Apple may hand Galaxy S25 Edge a win with iPhone 17 Air battery

Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 17 Air with a slim design. Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is significantly thinner than the other S25 models. Meanwhile, the thin design comes at a significant cost: reduced battery life.
A new rumor sheds light on the potential battery capacity of the iPhone 17 Air. Apple’s upcoming slim phone features a battery below the 3,000 mAh mark. This input aligns with previous rumors that claimed a capacity to be around 2,800 mAh.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge packs a 3,900 mAh battery, which is almost 1,000mAh larger than the iPhone 17 Air. Apple’s product is rumored to be even thinner than the 5.8mm S25 Edge, but the battery rumor makes it discouraging.
Given its 3,900 mAh battery, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge faced huge criticism. The smartphone lasts all day with regular usage, thanks to One UI optimization and AI-derived battery life improvement features.
Apple’s also said to be improving the battery life of the iPhone 17 Air with an iOS feature. The device may leverage iOS 26’s new Adaptive Power Mode. It could make the phone last a full day to make it appealing despite a smaller cell.
In the past, Wayne Ma of The Information pointed out that Apple’s iPhone 17 Air would have “worse” battery life compared to previous iPhone models. This is because of the reduction in battery capacity to realize a 5.5mm thin profile.
Launched back in May, the Galaxy S25 Edge is up for purchase worldwide. In the US, it starts at $1,100 for 256GB storage and goes up by $119 for 512GB memory. It’s available in three Titanium colors, including IcyBlue, JetBlack, and Silver.
Samsung is currently offering $150 instant savings and up to $530 with trade-in. You can save more on ecosystem devices by bundling the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at 35% reduced price, the Watch Ultra for $585, or the Tab A9+ for $165.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may display a blended design

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is creating a big buzz with early leaks spreading over the internet, and a few of its design specs have revealed for an early preview, including the display dimensions.
Over the years, Samsung’s Ultra model has evolved in its shape and size, keeping the display at the core of all the major upgrades. The company introduced the S20 Ultra with a curved-edge screen. The Galaxy S24 Ultra reduced its frame curve and flattened the display, providing a new in-hand experience.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra brought the next big change, replacing the sharp corners with round shapes and a sqaured the frame all around. That said, the display has become crisper and the aspect ratio has increased further with slim bezels all around.
Despite having the same size as the S24 Ultra, the new model managed to expand at 6.9 inches and cut down weight by 14 grams. Galaxy S26 Ultra will continue this tradition and take things a little further.

According to prominent tipster @UniverseIce, the next-gen flagship will increase display size to 6.89 inches, upgrading from 6.86 inches in the S25 Ultra. So, it’s a 0.03-inch increase.
The size mentioned here is actually the viewable area and not the entire panel. That means the phone could have a 6.9-inch display with the least bezels around the edges. So, you can expect the Galaxy S26 Ultra to blend its display within the frame and expand the viewing angles for better content quality.
Samsung will likely continue the Galaxy S25 Ultra design in 2026, which includes the titanium frame, strengthening the phone and managing the weight. Meanwhile, the front-selfie cutout will retain its spot.
Samsung Galaxy 26 Ultra will launch in early 2026, some reports indicates that the phone will feature second gent Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and improve the telephoto camera.

Samsung Galaxy A56 arrives in the US and it’s a painful deal

Samsung launched the Galaxy A56 5G in the US, but there’s a big problem: the price. It’s the first time in years that the company is bringing its premium-tier Galaxy A phone to America, and its pricing strategy makes zero sense.
Galaxy A56 5G is now available for purchase in the US. It starts at $499 and features two “Awesome” color options, including Lightgray and Graphite. I can’t recommend this purchase at this price over a decent alternative.
Galaxy S24 FE is also up for purchase in the United States. It comes at a list price of $649 for 128GB and $709 for 256GB. Meanwhile, the smartphone is currently selling for just $525 and $585 for 128GB and 256GB, respectively.
The Galaxy A56 uses the Exynos 1580 chipset, pairs up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It boasts a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor but lacks wireless charging and powershare like the S24 FE.
From the software part, the Galaxy A56 ships with Android 15-based One UI 7. It’s eligible for six years of OS and security updates. Compatible AI features include Object Eraser, Best Face, AI Select, and Circle to Search by Google.
The Galaxy A56 comes with flagship-grade features, but it’s not a deal to consider as Samsung’s already offering its Fan Edition. You can a longer software and OS support, a full-fledged Galaxy AI, and priority software updates.
From appearance, the Galaxy S24 FE looks better than the A56. The new Galaxy A56 is still a Samsung midranger, while the flagship segment blood flows in the S24 FE’s veins.
If you still prefer the A56, you should wait for a few months. Once Samsung announces a deal, the price may go down by $50 to $100 for the Galaxy A56. It will be a worthwhile deal at a price range between $400 and $500.
