Google Calendar introduces new option to hide completed tasks

Google Calendar new option

Google Calendar is a popular app that helps users manage their schedules, events, and tasks. However, some users may not like seeing reminders of tasks that they have already completed, especially if they are minor or repetitive. That is why Google Calendar on the web is now hiding completed tasks by default.

According to Google, users can change this new default by clicking the time period view switcher and selecting “Show completed tasks” from the menu located at the bottom.

This option joins “Show weekends” and “Show declined events” that were already available. Users can also view their completed tasks inside Google Tasks, which is integrated with Google Calendar.

The new setting is not yet available on the Android or iOS apps, even if it is enabled on the web for the user’s account. It is also unclear if this is a per-instance setting or account-wide. Google is still rolling out this feature to all users.
