One UI 6 Beta 2’s late August release may be canceled

Samsung released the first One UI 6 Beta on August 10, while the second Beta’s tentative late August release may be canceled. In South Korea, Galaxy S23 users received the Beta 1 Hotfix firmware, while there’s no new rollout for consumers in Germany and the US after the initial Beta.

Recently, it has been revealed that the company could release the 2nd One UI 6 Beta on August 29, while a tipster claims it may be canceled. As per tipster @hyacokr_itnyang, Samsung may not release on August 29, hinting at the rollout cancellation.

With the Beta 2 release, the South Korean tech giant is likely to expand the Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series in the remaining markets. Samsung fans eagerly await the major update, while the Beta will only be expanded to China, India, Poland, and the UK.

Millions of Samsung consumers are eligible for the One UI 6.0 update. Before the October end, Samsung started to release the Stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 to the Galaxy S23 series devices. The expansion will continue along with new Galaxy devices in the update party.

Back in August, the South Korean tech giant started its Android 14 Beta Program, which took about two months to transform into Stable One UI 6.0 update. Notably, various Galaxy devices (mid-range and flagships) were able to test Android 14 through the One UI 6 in certain markets.
