Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 dummy unit leak gives a closer look
Through leaked renders and official press images, we have a pretty clear idea of what the next-gen Samsung phones will look like. Meanwhile, a new dummy unit leak of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 gives us a closer look at its design, folding function, and camera arrangement.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 dummy unit images shared by tipster IceUniverse show minor design tweaks. Dummy units give almost a final product-like appearance as retailers use them for consumer purposes. As there’s no change in design, the LED flash is aligned next to the rear camera setup.
Meanwhile, the crease area looks disappointing, giving similar feel to the previous foldables. However, it would surely be changed in the official product as the dummy is for just an overview. You can check all images leaked by the tipster below.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could stay slim while getting slightly heavier
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S27 Ultra next year, and it will be the new flagship phone. While Samsung has not shared official details yet, a new leak has revealed some information about the phone’s size and weight.
According to tipster UniverseIce, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could be 7.9mm thick and weigh around 218 grams. It shows that Samsung may keep the phone’s body almost the same thickness as the current model.
For comparison, the Galaxy S26 Ultra weighs 214 grams and has a thickness of 7.9mm. This means the Galaxy S27 Ultra could be just 4 grams heavier than its predecessor while keeping the same thickness.
The small increase in weight may not make a big difference in everyday use. Samsung could use the extra weight for new hardware or improvements inside the phone. However, there is no information yet about what may cause the difference in weight.
The 7.9mm thickness could also show that Samsung wants to keep the Ultra model slim. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to offer powerful hardware and several new features, so keeping the phone thin could be an important part of its design.
However, these details are based on a leak and have not been confirmed by Samsung. The final design and specifications could be different. More information about the Galaxy S27 Ultra, including its camera, battery, processor and display, is expected to appear before its official launch. Stay tuned.

Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra may cost more with new RAM and storage upgrades
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series could cost more than the Galaxy S26 series. A new leak says Samsung may increase the prices of several Galaxy S27 models and storage versions.
According to Korean blogger and tipster yeux1122, the price increase could be between 100,000 won and more than 130,000 won in South Korea. That is around $74 to $96. However, these prices are only for Korea. Prices in other countries could be different.
The reason for the possible price increase could be the rising cost of memory and other phone parts. AI companies are buying large amounts of memory for their systems. This is reducing supply and making memory more expensive. Phone makers may then have to pay more to build new smartphones.
Samsung is also expected to use newer technology in some Galaxy S27 models. Earlier reports suggest that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra could come with UFS 5.1 storage and LPDDR6 RAM. These newer parts could also increase the cost of the phones.
Samsung already increased the prices of many Galaxy S26 models. The Galaxy S26 started at $900 for the 256GB version. This was $40 more than the 256GB Galaxy S25.
The cheapest Galaxy S27 could cost more than $950. This would make Samsung’s new flagship phones more expensive for buyers. However, Samsung has not officially announced Galaxy S27 prices yet. The final prices will only be known when Samsung officially launches the new series.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra to introduce a software-focused camera upgrade with these three changes
A trusted leaker today revealed the three major camera processing changes linked to the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, which will significantly improve its photography experience compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
As per tipster Ice Universe, Samsung is apparently working on color rendering, highlight handling and noise reduction, three areas that can significantly affect the final image even when camera hardware remains unchanged.
Galaxy S27 Ultra could deliver warmer photos
Galaxy S27 Ultra produces a warmer overall tone than the S26 Ultra. The difference is visible when both phones photograph the same scene, with the S27 Ultra moving away from the cooler rendering associated with its predecessor.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra already improved color performance compared with earlier Ultra models, although independent testing has identified occasional differences in white balance and color between cameras.
A warmer output does not necessarily mean more saturated images. The more important factor will be whether Samsung can maintain consistent skin tones and natural-looking colors across different lighting conditions.
Better control over tiny bright light sources
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is better at controlling small, intense highlights in the distance. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, tiny illuminated objects can sometimes become excessively bright, causing their outlines and internal details to disappear.
The S27 Ultra reportedly preserves these areas more effectively. Bright signs and distant lights can retain their shape instead of turning into heavily clipped patches of light.
Interestingly, the leak says this improvement is visible on both the primary camera and the 5x telephoto camera. That could make a practical difference when photographing distant buildings, signs, street lights, or other bright subjects at night.
Cleaner shadows with less visible noise
The Galaxy S27 Ultra reduces fine noise in shadows, producing cleaner and smoother-looking photos. The improvement is especially visible in night photography, where noise and aggressive processing are easier to spot.
This is an important balance for Samsung. Too little noise reduction can leave photos grainy, while excessive processing can remove fine textures and produce an artificial appearance.
If Samsung has found a better middle ground, the benefit could extend beyond Night mode. Dark indoor scenes, evening landscapes, and telephoto shots could all look cleaner without sacrificing as much texture.
A software-focused camera upgrade
Taken together, the three changes point toward Samsung refining the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s computational photography rather than simply chasing bigger camera specifications.
Recent Galaxy S27 Ultra reports have already suggested that Samsung could place considerable emphasis on camera processing and imaging improvements.
For everyday users, the most noticeable difference may simply be that photos require less editing before sharing. Warmer colors, controlled highlights, and cleaner shadows could produce a more consistent result straight from the Camera app.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is still several months away from its expected launch, and these details remain unofficial. Samsung could also continue tuning its camera algorithms before the final software reaches consumers.

Galaxy S25 and Z Fold 8 prices reportedly rising in India from October
Another wave of Samsung price hikes is on the verge of happening in India. A new report suggests that Samsung could be raising the prices of the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 8 in India, with the hike expected to be up to INR 10,000.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav revealed on X that the prices of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy S25 series are going up by up to INR 10,000 in India.
The tentative price revision will be effective from the first week of October 2026.
The reported information does not clarify whether the INR 10,000 increase would apply to every Fold 8 storage variant or whether Samsung would revise selected configurations.
Samsung’s newly launched foldable phones are already expensive, but the memory crunch is worsening the situation. India is an emerging market for premium phones, and this price jump will be hurting consumer sentiment.
Galaxy S25 series, which was released in February 2025, is getting pricier. It should have maintained the same pricing, but Samsung can no longer absorb the complete price hike.
Costs of DRAM and NAND flash memory continue to rise as memory makers shift focus to high-value DRAM, HBM, and enterprise SSDs.
For now, the Galaxy S25 and Z Fold8 price increases remain unconfirmed by Samsung. If the reported revisions are accurate, customers considering either generation may want to check existing offers before October pricing takes effect.
Samsung could also continue using bank discounts, exchange bonuses, and festive promotions to offset part of the higher listed prices.

Galaxy S27 Ultra camera setup finally clear and cases are already wrong
Samsung may make a big design change with the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra. But a new leak has raised questions about one important part of its camera system.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a vertical camera design on the back. For the Galaxy S27 Ultra, Samsung is reportedly planning a horizontal camera bar that stretches across the phone. This would give the new Ultra model a very different look.
An image posted by Onleaks showed a render/photo of the rear of a dark gray Galaxy S27 Ultra-like phone next to a front view. A zoomed-in inset of the vertical camera island labels:
- Telephoto lens (upper circular camera)
- Microphone (small hole below it)
- Sensors (two small dots)
- Flash (bottom circular element)

Earlier, well-known tipster Ice Universe shared details about four Galaxy S27 Ultra cases. All four cases show a horizontal camera design, but their camera cutouts are slightly different.
One of the most detailed cases has openings for the main camera, ultra-wide camera, telephoto camera and LED flash. But there is no clear opening for the Laser Autofocus (AF) sensor.
This has created some confusion. Samsung is unlikely to completely remove the autofocus system. The case makers may simply not have the correct information yet. Earlier leaks suggested that the Laser AF sensor could be placed inside another section of the camera bar.
It is also possible that Samsung has changed the way the autofocus system works. For now, there is no official information from Samsung about the sensor’s exact location. Stay tuned for more information.
