Samsung devices Circle to search feature

Circle to Search will be getting a significant functional boost later this year. At I/O 2024, Google confirmed to upgrade Android’s Circle to Search with the ability to help you get your homework done. The service will add support for Math and Physics topics to help users.

Google teased at I/O 2024 that Circle to Search will add new features, helping students better understand potentially difficult class topics. Looking at what Google teased, the feature could show them step-by-step instructions for a “range of physics and math word problems.”

Thanks to the LearnLM AI models, Circle to Search will be capable of understanding and demonstrating symbolic formulas, diagrams, graphs, and more. When available, it will be accessible as an experimental feature which could be activated through Google Account under the Labs section.

To recall, Circle to Search was first released with Samsung’s S24 series earlier this year. Later on, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro received it through an OTA upgrade. It’s one of the star new features of Android, and although iOS users can’t yet circle their math homework for help, anything is possible.

Google I/O 2024 Imagen 3 Veo Generative AI Model

Google today introduced its most advanced generative AI image and video model – Imagen 3 and Veo.

Imagen 3

The company announced Imagen 3, which is Google DeepMind’s most capable image generation model yet. It understands user prompts the way people write, creates more photorealistic images, and is our best model for rendering text.

Starting today, Imagen 3 is available for select creators as a private preview inside ImageFX, and you can sign up to join the waitlist. Besides, it will be available in multiple versions, each optimized for different types of tasks, from generating quick sketches to high-resolution images.

Veo

Google also unveiled DeepMind’s Veo, which is an advanced generative video model. The company says users will be able to create and edit HQ videos over 60 seconds in different visual styles through just text, image, or video prompts.

Pay attention, VideoFX is an experimental tech, which lets you generate your synthetic videos. The company notes that videos may display inaccurate information, including about people. Besides, generated videos and prompt suggestions are still experimental.
