Android 14 to revolutionize the Stylus (S Pen) user experience
Samsung devices that support S Pen will get benefitted from the Android 14 update. Google is testing new features in the new OS version in order to improve user experience. So far, Google didn’t have any device that supports stylus input, but the arrival of the Pixel Tablet will change things this time.
Android 14 is testing stylus-related functions, which will be reflected in the stable release. Mishaal Rahman shared some user interface images, showcasing that the new OS has a few key improvements in store for new settings, default apps, and multiple buttons.

Following the latest update, when you connect a stylus to your device on Android 14 and go to the “device details” page, you’ll be able to see new stylus-specific settings, which includes a shortcut to change the “default notes app” and a toggle to “ignore all stylus button presses.”
In addition to the dedicated user interface, the company has more improvements for the Stylus section. It looks like Android 14 to bring better support for multiple buttons on a stylus, including “Primary,” “Secondary,” “Teriary,” and “Tail.”
To be mentioned, there is a specific message about the “tail” button not generally corresponding “to the function of an eraser.” Instead, a message in OS mentions setting a default app for notes, which hints this button might be used for launching your notes app of choice.
As Samsung devices run Android OS-based One UI, select products will also get the bells and whistles, similar to Wear OS and One UI Watch. The Android 14 rollout will begin for Galaxy phones and tablets later this year, while the Beta for flagships launching next month.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5 to receive One UI 6.0 beta in October, Community Moderator confirms
One UI 6.0 Beta update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been delayed, which was scheduled to be released in late September 2023. This announcement is made by Samsung’s Community Moderator through a comment on the Samsung Members app.
For this delay, the moderator stated that more work is required to ensure the stability of the One UI 6.0 beta software for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones.
In addition, the official assured that the company will do its best to deliver stable software so that the beta version can be launched as early as possible in October after the Chuseok holiday, which is a significant Korean festival that falls in late September this year.
Previously, Samsung’s community moderator had disclosed that the One UI team was working diligently in development and review to complete the beta version with the aim of distributing it within September. However, it seems that the team encountered some issues that required more time to fix.
