If your device does not vibrate enough even after turning on Vibrate for incoming calls feature, you check if the mobile device is connected to other devices, such as watches, earphones, earbuds, or Bluetooth speakers so the vibrate sound mode will not work.

How to exit One UI 7 Beta and Rollback to Stable software

One UI 7 Beta

Samsung has just kickstarted the One UI 7 Beta and many users have joined the Beta and installed the test firmware. If you don’t want to continue the One UI 7 Beta, you can exit the Program and rollback to the Stable software.

Joining the One UI Beta Program allows Samsung users to experience new features before the official release. The build contains bugs and instability concerns. You can simply exit the One UI 7 Beta Program and rollback to the One UI 6.1.

Here are some simple steps to follow in case you want to revert to the previous One UI version:

Step 1: Withdraw from the Beta Program

To officially leave the One UI 7 Beta Program:

  1. Open the Samsung Members app on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings > One UI Beta Program status > Withdraw.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your withdrawal.

Once you withdraw, you won’t receive further Beta updates. Your device will no longer participate in the Beta Program.

Step 2: Roll Back to the Stable Software

Exiting the Beta Program doesn’t automatically remove the beta software. To revert to the stable release:

  • From phone:
    1. Check for the software update (Settings > Software update > Download and install), a Stable build should be made available to your device.
  • Via PC:
    1. Install the Smart Switch PC Version on your computer.
    2. Connect your device to the PC.
    3. Perform a rollback to the official release version using Smart Switch.

Note: When you roll back from One UI 7 Beta, all the personal data and apps will be removed due to a factory reset. Ensure you back up your data before proceeding.

Signed up for Beta but haven’t installed

If you signed up for the One UI 7 Beta Program but haven’t yet installed the beta firmware, the process is even simpler.

After withdrawing via the Samsung Members app, your device will continue using the current official version without requiring a rollback.

Samsung One UI 7 Animation Comparison: Open Beta vs Internal Beta

Published

on

Samsung One UI 7 Messages app

Samsung significantly improved the animation system in the One UI 7 Beta. The first Beta is worth installing as no major flaw was reported in three days. Meanwhile, the animation fluency will elevate further with the next Beta updates.

In a recent development, Samsung insider IceUniverse compared the app opening and closing animation in the recently released One UI 7 Open Beta 1 (XKZ) and an internal testing version (XKN). Here’s how they stack up:

One UI 7 Beta 1 (XKZ)

  • Animation feels stiff and lifeless.
  • Icons turn into a right angle before spreading into the page.
  • Lacks smoothness and fails to align with natural physical motion.

Internal Testing Version (XKN)

  • Features an elegant unfolding animation with smoother transitions.
  • Includes a noticeable deceleration effect, adding a “floating” quality.
  • Closely resembles the refined animations seen in iOS.

The leaker expressed disappointment with Samsung’s choice of the XKZ animation for the beta release. The comparison also shows that the internal build has better animation fluency than the first Beta distributed to general users.

You can watch the video below:

It seems Samsung has reserved some aspects from the internal beta for the next builds. The program won’t end anytime soon as Beta participants could get around four major updates throughout the testing period before the 1Q25 release.
