Samsung Preps eXtraordinary Android 14 One UI 6.0 Rollout This Year
Despite being an Android vendor, Samsung is more serious than Google when it comes to faster deployment. While the Pixel phones are yet to get the official Android 14, Samsung has internally begun testing this new OS with One UI 6.0 skin on the Galaxy S23, showing off stunning rollout plans.
Just recently, it has been reported that Samsung has started internal testing of Android 14-based One UI 6.0 on Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. It comes as a big development and enough to boost the excitement of Galaxy fans worldwide.
CheckFirm is a popular third-party application, which allows Android users to find new test firmware builds on Samsung’s software server. The platform listed (via Tarun Vats) the new “One UI Update” build for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, with the ROM belongs to Indian CSC.
Galaxy S23 line runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 out of the box, which is the latest Stable Samsung software version. As the lineup has not received any major One UI update so far, the fourth last alphabet of firmware would change to “B” when Samsung kicks off the first major upgrade deployment.
The test firmware S918BXXU1BWE2 clearly indicates that the build is equipped with Android 14 OS for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Besides, “W” refers to the year, which is 2023, and “E” indicates that this build is prepared in May, while the last digit keeps changing throughout the testing.
Apart from the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it has been reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 also testing new One UI version, which could be either One UI 5.1.1 or 6.0 with version numbers F936BXXU2DWE1 and F721BXXU2DWD7, respectively.
Last year, the One UI Beta Program started for the latest Galaxy S flagships in early August. However, these latest inputs point out that Samsung is preparing an eXtraordinary Android 14-based One UI 6.0 rollout for Galaxies this year.

Motorola surprises with Android 15 Beta before Samsung
There was a time when Samsung used to release monthly security patches even before Google, those were the good old days. Fast forward to today, Motorola has outpaced Samsung by launching the beta version of Android 15 first.
As per the latest information, Motorola started rolling out the Android 15 beta for its Motorola Edge 50 Fusion model before Samsung officially released its version of the Android 15 beta for its devices.
The Android 15 update for Motorola Edge 50 is not yet a stable release for all users. Instead, it’s being rolled out as a beta update. Any user who has opted for Motorola’s beta testing programs is receiving this update. This beta program allows Motorola to test new features, stability, and performance on a smaller scale before a wider rollout.
After the beta testing phase, Motorola will likely start rolling out the stable version of Android 15 to more devices, including the Moto Edge series, the Moto Razr foldable, and other eligible devices. The Android 15 beta program can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the issues discovered and the complexity of the update.
Meanwhile, Samsung, typically known for its timely updates, has not yet made the Android 15 beta available for its range of devices as of now, although expectations are that Samsung will soon follow with its One UI 7.0 beta program, given its history of participating in Android beta releases.
In the recent update, we could also see a stable Android 15 rollout for the Google Pixel smartphones. Stay tuned for the Android 15 rollout.
