Samsung plans new skin temperature-based features for Galaxy Watch 5

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series is equipped with a temperature sensor in addition to others. Recently, Samsung announced and started rolling out a skin temperature-based cycle prediction function to Galaxy Watch 5 models, and more useful features are on the way.
In this regard, Samsung Health mod in Korean community confirmed that new skin-temperature sensor-based features will be provided to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro through software updates. The comment arrived on a thread where users were complaining about how it’s useful for males.
The recently released menstrual cycle is the first feature that uses the Watch 5 lineup’s temperature sensor. Samsung users are demanding some useful additions that utilize the temperature sensor of their wearable devices, which will be released in the near future.
Regarding the features and availability, the Samsung moderator, as always, denied commenting. The in charge said that it’s difficult to provide an accurate release date for upcoming skin-temperature sensor features for Galaxy smartwatch users.
Samsung quoted in its press release that “The new infrared temperature sensor on Galaxy Watch 5 broadens our whole health offerings, providing more convenient ways to track and understand personal health.” Meanwhile, the first function powered by the temperature sensor isn’t satisfactory.
Galaxy Watch 6
By the end of July, Samsung could unveil new products including the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 5 and the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup. Like always, the company will bring new features and upgrades to the next-gen wearable lineup and some of the new features will be delivered to older models.
It’s expected that the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic will come with new skin-temperature sensor-based features, in addition to period prediction. If it goes as speculated, the Galaxy Watch 5 users would get those functions through software updates later this year.

Google Messages adds waveforms to Voice Recorder UI

Google Messages is getting a new look for its voice recorder UI. The microphone icon in the text field will change to a waveform icon, which is different from the voice typing button in Gboard.
Instead of holding down the mic to record, you will now see a panel with a start/stop button and options to cancel, delete, or attach the recording. You will also see a waveform and a timer while recording, and you can play back the recording before sending it.
The voice messages preview will also show a waveform between the play/pause button and the timer, making it more noticeable than the current straight line.
These changes are not widely available yet, but some users have reported seeing them on their phones. These new changes are part of a bigger redesign that Google is working on for Messages, which includes a revamped home screen that is still in beta testing. Google might announce new features soon.
