Verizon update fixes Samsung Galaxy Watch 5’s raise to wake failure
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro users are getting another February 2023 update at Verizon network in the US. This latest update finally brings a fix to an issue, which users were facing for a long time.
The latest update of Galaxy Watch 5 fixes an issue where lifting your wrist to wake the watch periodically was not working properly. Users were continuously complaining about this problem after installing the last update. But now users do not need to worry because the company has solved this issue with the new update.
In early February 2023, Verizon released a major update for its Galaxy Watch 5 series that brought new features. The new update came with a camera controller zoom feature, advanced body composition, and updated app icons. Not only this, but an issue also came with it, which the company has fixed through a new update.
Verizon is rolling out a new update for Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro with build versions R905USQU1AWB2(40mm) /R915USQU1AWB2(44mm) and R925USQU1AWB2 (45mm) respectively.
Consumers can download this update through the Galaxy wearable app on a connected Android phone and navigate to Watch settings >> Watch software update >> Download and install. If an update is available, tap the Update now option, and on the Watch software update’ screen, tap Install now.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Camera Controller Feature
Samsung added a Camera Controller feature to Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. This feature allows you to use your watch to remotely control the zoom level of your paired Samsung smartphone camera in the preview screen while taking photos or recording videos.
Also, you can pinch to zoom in and out or use the rotating bezel to control the camera zoom level. Notably, this feature is only available for smartphones launched after the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip running One UI 5.1 or later.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra users are getting a July 2024 security update in Canada. This update is already rolled out for users in Europe and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
