Samsung AstroHyperlapse or Astrophotography is a great camera feature that allows you to capture stars and night sky shots with less effort. This feature was limited to Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 but Samsung is now looking to introduce an Astrophotography feature for older Galaxy phones as well.

The Galaxy S23 models came pre-packed with the option to take Astro Hyperlapse whereas, the Korean company earlier released Astrophotography for Galaxy S22 series phones through the Expert RAW app update.

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung started expanding the Galaxy S23’s One UI 5.1 software to older Galaxy phones. Customers were expecting the Astrophotography feature to come with the One UI 5.1 update, but unfortunately, it did not happen.

Meanwhile, a new information (via tipster @GaryeonHan) reveals that Samsung is already working on releasing the feature for other devices. Obviously, not all flagship Galaxy smartphones are eligible for this feature as it requires some extra functions that are not available in all phones.

The list of Samsung phones that will get the Astrophotography feature in the coming time includes:

  • Galaxy S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Note 20
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Galaxy Z Fold 2

The tipster further mentions that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone is already scheduled to get support for the feature, however, when it is coming is not noted. It looks like the users will not have to wait for too long.

On the other hand, the company is currently reviewing the feature for the rest of the eligible models. We can expect that the company will soon make an official announcement regarding its expansion.

Samsung Astrophotography:

Astrophotography is a dedicated camera feature to let you capture stunning night sky shorts or the stars and the moon. It captures pictures using AI and multi-frame technology to deliver the best results.

It has a built-in sky guide to help pinpoint the location of constellations, stars, and solar systems. However, you can also always turn off the guide if you know what part of the night sky you want to shoot.

The minimum duration for taking an astrophoto is 4 minutes, which can be extended up to a maximum of 10 minutes. It goes without saying that you should put your phone on a tripod when shooting the stars.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Render

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra was missing from the internet over the last couple of weeks. We were hearing about the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, which may launch in July this year. Recently, a reliable source allegedly confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

The company releases two types of foldable phones in the second half of every year. A clamshell-type Flip and a book-type Fold were unveiled in the market. This year, Samsung is rumored to launch an Ultra variant of its Galaxy Z Fold smartphone with powerful specs.

In his X post, Roland Quandt highlighted that Q6A is very real. While the tip doesn’t mention Samsung or Galaxy Fold, we heard in the past that Q6A is an additional variant of the Fold 6. It aligns with the rumors of the first Ultra Fold’s arrival this year.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is expected to come with in-built S Pen support. The Standard variant will also support S Pen input, but there will not be any dedicated compartment for storage. Some other aspects may also be improved to differentiate it from the Standard variant.
