Samsung expanding 11 Galaxy S23 Camera and Gallery features to more Galaxy phones

The newly launched Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones come with a handful of advanced Camera and Gallery features. Some of those are already available for the older Galaxy phones with One UI 5.1 update and now Samsung has announced more new features.
Samsung Community’s camera in charge has recently released the plan to expand the Galaxy S23 Camera and Gallery features to more Galaxy devices. The moderator has detailed the features as well as revealed which phones with get them.

Easily select Expert RAW from the More menu:
One UI 5.1 offers the ability to easily capture images using Expert RAW app through the stock Samsung Camera’s More menu. If you have not installed the Expert RAW app, its icon will be displayed so you can access it on Galaxy Store.
Supported models: All models that support Expert RAW (released with One UI 5.1)

Provides a professional-level shooting experience:
Expert RAW offers multiple exposure and astrophotography, among other specialized shooting techniques. Multiple exposures take multiple shots to provide a composite picture, so you can take original, creative, and professionally staged photos.
At the same time, you can also take Astrophotography through multi-frame synthesis and AI segmentation tailored to the movement of celestial bodies.

Astro Hyperlapse is a night 300x speed function that allows you to take pictures of stars in the night sky, and star trails can be taken when you select Star Trails.

Improved lens switching effect:

OnePlus 12 boasts ULTRA battery that Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra won’t

OnePlus 12 is on the verge of being unveiled in China, with global launch set to take place on January 23. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 12 comes with a 5400mAh battery, which won’t be available in Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Official teaser posters reveal that the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a battery with 5,400 mAh capacity, which is 400mAh larger than Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra. Moreover, the device supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging functionality.

Samsung working on 1-inch camera with in-sensor crop zoom: Rumor

Samsung shipped its 200-megapixel camera with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Moving ahead, the company is expected to ship the next two S Ultra flagships with enhanced variants of its 200-megapixel sensor. A new leak reveals that Samsung is also working on a 1-inch ISOCELL camera sensor.
Tipster @Tech_Reve revealed that Samsung is working on a 1-inch ISOCELL camera sensor with 0.8µm pixels, dual-pixel autofocus, and in-sensor crop zoom. Apart from these details, the tipster hasn’t revealed the model number of this image sensor.

Countless leaks and rumors revealed most of the things about the Galaxy S24 series. In a recent development, a new leak indicates that Samsung is ditching the ISOCELL image sensor in favor of a new Sony Camera on its upcoming Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus.
According to tipster Revegnus, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus smartphones might not use an ISOCELL camera sensor, with an upgrade to a new Sony Camera solution expected. It’s worth noting that there’s no camera hardware upgrade in the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus.
