Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra smartphone users have started receiving the latest February 2023 Android security patch update. The company is initially releasing the update in Europe, with customers living in Germany getting the opportunity to install it first.

The February 2023 patch for Galaxy S23 customers does not bring many new changes. It slightly optimizes the system’s security and stability to maintain the users’ experience and stay connected with new privacy functions.

In addition, the official changelog for the update also says various One UI stock app updates. However, what changes these apps get with the latest update is not mentioned here. You will only get to know them once you have your hands on the February 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy S23.

The list of updated apps includes:

AR Zone, Samsung Notes Add-ons, Clock, Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Global Goals, Samsung Notes, PENUP, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, SmartThings, Galaxy Shop, Samsung Members, Samsung Wallet, Samsung TV Plus, Calculator, Smart Switch, and voice recorder.

On the other hand, Samsung further fixes around four dozen vulnerabilities that were harming the files and data saved on the phone. These include 47 CVEs from Google’s Android OS and 7 SVEs from Samsung’s One UI software.

Aside from these, you might notice improvements in the battery life of your S23 or fixes for some other issues and errors you were facing in your phone since the purchase.

The Korean tech is releasing the Galaxy S23 February 2023 update with One UI built version S911BXXU1AWBD. Whereas, the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra users can identify it through firmware versions S916BXXU1AWBD and S918BXXU1AWBD, respectively.

In case you are new to Samsung: You can check and download the latest software update on Galaxy S23 through its Settings. From here, head over to the Software update section and tap the Download and install option. Simply, hit the Download button to start the procedure, and finally Install the update on your phone.

Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra, which comes with a big-size installation package of 1.3GB. The update installs the August 2023 security patch to improve system security.

However, the changelog of this update does not include any new feature or change except system security maintenance, stability optimizations, and bug fixes. Moreover, it updates several stock apps including Samsung Notes Add-ons, Galaxy Wearable, Kids, Notes, Health, SmartThing, Members, Wallet, Calculator, and Smart Switch to the latest version.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series can identify this massive update through One UI build version G98xU1UEU6HWHD. The update is currently rolling out for unlocked models in the US.

To install this update, you just need to visit Galaxy Store >> Software Updates >> Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy S23 September 2023 update Brazil

Samsung is pushing a new update with the September 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones in Brazil. This update is already available in the US, Canada, and Europe.

September 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23 series comes in Brazil with the One UI build version mentioned below.

  • Galaxy S23 – S911BXXS3AWI3
  • Galaxy S23 Plus – S916BXXS3AWI3
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918BXXS3AWI3

Users will have to download around 331.46MB package to install the update. The latest firmware fixes over 60 flaws found in smartphones and tablets in the previous version. The update improves the device’s system security, stability, and overall performance.

However, this update does not include any new feature or change. The update is rolling out gradually, so reaching all eligible devices may take some time. You can install the latest update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.
