According to TheElec report, Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Business has formed an application processor (AP) solution development team within the business. Led by Choi Won-joon, the team is likely to work on the Galaxy-exclusive chipset, which is rumored to debut in 2025.

The conglomerate’s Samsung System LSI designed Exynos chipsets, which used in Galaxy phones. Since the MX Business making its own team, it seems like the business wants to optimize Exynos chips for its Galaxy line more or, the more likely reason is to altogether develop its own processors going forward.

Samsung’s MX Business uses a variety of suppliers for these from Qualcomm to Mediatek as well as Samsung System LSI. But Galaxy S22 smartphones were shown to have performance issues earlier this year, requiring an optimization software that capped their performance intentionally.
