The Galaxy S21 maintains the same layout of the notification panel as in One UI 4.1. It begins with the same digital clock, Settings gear icon, primary 6 quick settings toggles, and the brightness bar (which can be removed as well).
However, the redesigned Notification Panel of Samsung One UI 5.0 delivers a clear look and bigger app icons that stand by themselves. It’s nice to sort the notification you want to open among so many.
In addition to this, the One UI 5.0 Notification Panel’s app icons have also received minor optimization including a new solid round background shape. Simultaneously, the panel has a slight tweak to opacity.
Furthermore, if you receive a string of notifications from a single application, the icons now stack below each other, hence creating a pleasant effect. The space between the notification bubbles has also increased, making them all feel individual.
Besides these, the “Notification settings” and “Clear” options beneath the panel now have their own rounded box. Overall, the complete One UI 5.0 Notification panel looks great and is more clear to find what you want.

In addition to South Korea and Germany, Samsung has now launched the Android 14-based One UI 6 Beta in the US. Users of carrier-unlocked or T-Mobile branded Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, or S23 Ultra smartphones can now sign up to get the Beta firmware via OTA.
