The company has told that the problem is occurring because of the older versions of the application and Android 13 being outdated. But the One UI beta team confirms that the Samsung Pay app will automatically get updated on October 18 to bring the Android 13/One UI 5.0 support.

Aside from this, the team has also recommended customers update the Samsung Pay application to its latest version before the automatic update on October 18. This will help your phone seamlessly install One UI 5.0 support for the app and prevent inconvenience in advance.
There is nothing to worry about. Since your phone is running the Beta version, it’s common that you are facing such problems. However, the company is continuously working to resolve these issues as it has done previously and we believe that this Samsung Pay problem will also be solved in the specified time.

Samsung Clock app to integrate YouTube Music for alarms

Samsung is getting ready to make mornings more enjoyable for users by adding YouTube Music support to its Clock app. This integration will allow you to choose your favorite YouTube Music songs as your alarm.
At the moment, if you’re using the Samsung Clock app, you can set a song from Spotify as your alarm. However, it looks like Samsung is planning to give YouTube Music users the same option. To use this feature, you’ll need a YouTube Music Premium subscription.
In the APK teardown of YouTube Music version 8.06.51, a well-known tipster, Assembledebug (via AndroidAuthority), has spotted some codes. These new codes hinted at a link between YouTube Music and the Samsung Clock app.
Further exploration into the Samsung Clock app by the AssembleDebug has confirmed the presence of several code strings referring to this integration. These codes indicate that the feature is actively being developed.
If this feature is released, you’ll be able to choose between Spotify or YouTube Music to wake you up. This would make Samsung’s Clock app more useful and fun for alarms.
For Samsung users who love listening to YouTube Music, this new option will be an amazing addition. The feature is still under development, but it seems that Samsung is working hard to make it available soon on Galaxy devices.

One UI 6.1.1 devices get a sneak peek of One UI 7 with new Samsung Find icon

Samsung has started rolling out a new icon for its Find app, which was first introduced with One UI 7, to Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1.1. This indicates that Samsung is getting older devices ready for the next big software update.
The updated icon matches the design changes seen in One UI 7, but it’s now making its way to devices with One UI 6.1.1. While the icon was initially spotted in Android 15-based One UI 7, Samsung is now offering it to older versions of the software.
A Reddit user spotted the new icon on their Find app and also noticed it in the app’s listing in the Galaxy Store. However, the icon hadn’t shown up on their device yet, which suggests that Samsung is giving users a sneak peek of One UI 7 on One UI 6.1.1 running Galaxy devices.
This rollout is happening gradually through a server-side update, meaning users will see the new icon at different times. For example, testing on a Galaxy S23 with One UI 6.1.1 still shows the old icon, but an update to the app is available. Once the server-side update is complete, the new icon should appear.
While the icon change may seem small, it’s a sign that Samsung is preparing for the wider One UI 7 rollout on older devices. Talking about that new icon, the color scheme stays the same with white, dark, and light blue shades but it has a sharper tip location symbol. The tip is more defined, there’s a circle instead of a spread-out triangle in One UI 7.
Aside from this, recent leaks suggest that the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 might arrive in March 2025. At the moment, the company reportedly getting ready to release the One UI 7 Beta 4 update.

This free app lets any Android user enjoy Samsung SmartTag features

Samsung SmartTags are popular trackers for Samsung device users, but until now, their functionality is limited to Galaxy devices. For that, uTag comes in to bring support. This app lets you use Samsung SmartTag features with any Android device, even if it’s not a Galaxy phone.
The uTag (spotted by MishalRahman) is an app similar to Samsung’s SmartThings Find feature, which helps you locate and track your SmartTags. With uTag, you can see where your tag is, make it ring, change its ringtone, and more.
Moreover, the app even supports precision finding, a feature that shows you exactly where your tag is if your phone has ultra-wideband (UWB) support, which Google’s Find My Device network still doesn’t offer.

The app also gives you alerts when a SmartTag is traveling with you, notifies you if a tag is left behind or found, and lets you share tags with family. In addition, you can check the location history of your tags. It’s a great way to keep track of your items.
To make uTag work, you need to install a special version of the SmartThings app. This is because the official SmartThings app only works on Samsung phones, but the patched version allows uTag to connect. You will need to sign into your Samsung account twice, once in SmartThings and again in uTag.

If you’re worried about security, the developer made the app open-source, so you can check the code yourself. The uTag app works really well on non-Samsung phones too.
You can download uTag for free from GitHub if your phone is running Android 11 or later. It’s a perfect solution for anyone who wants to use Samsung’s tracker SmartTags without a Galaxy phone.

Samsung Quick Share app now supports internet file sharing

Samsung has released a new update for its Quick Share app, which makes it even easier to share files between devices via the internet. This update brings a few new features that will improve the user experience and make file sharing quicker and more convenient.
After this update, the Quick Share app now suggests devices you share files with most often. This means when you want to send a file, Quick Share will recommend the device or account you use frequently. This helps you save time by making it easier to find the right device.
Moreover, you can now share files even when you are not connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The new feature of Samsung Quick Share lets you send files over the internet, even if you are out of range of Wi-Fi. This means you can send photos, videos, and documents to others without worrying about the Wi-Fi connection.
The update also lets you share original photos, videos, and stories directly from the Gallery. When you send media, the app keeps the original quality, so your photos and videos look just as good as when you first took them.
With these new features, Samsung’s Quick Share app is now even more helpful for sending files quickly and easily. You can install the update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates.
