Samsung Android 13/One UI 5.0 Release Date [Expected]
For the time being, Samsung One UI 5.0 Release Date is one of the hottest queries on the web. Google finally released the new Android 13 operating system for Pixel devices and submitted the source code in AOSP on August 15. Meanwhile, Samsung will start giving the Android 13 update to Galaxy devices, later this year.
At the time of launching Android 13, Google quoted names of several OEMs including Samsung, that will start delivering the new OS to their devices later this year. With the language “later this year,” the company survived on the direct question of revealing an exact release date.

Unlike other OEMs, Samsung has not disclosed which Galaxy devices will be eligible for the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta program and what will be the release timeline. Meanwhile, we can guess when the company would release the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for eligible Galaxy devices.

Google launched the Android 11 operating system in early September 2020, while Samsung delivered the One UI 3.0 update in early December. Two years back, the Korean tech giant took around three months to bring stability to its new One UI variant, based on Android 11.
Moving ahead, the internet giant introduced the Android 12 update for Pixel devices in early October 2021 and Samsung impressively delivered it as One UI 4.0 to Galaxy devices in mid-November. However, the company halted update distribution due to bugs, which later resumed in December.
According to the company’s previous records, the forthcoming One UI 5.0 update will also be available within two months, most probably in October 2022, as Google has already launched the new Android 13 operating system at AOSP in mid-August.
“It’s not good to claim a specific release date for One UI 5.0, while, we assume Samsung will push its stable Android 13 in mid-October.”
It’s important to mention that Samsung will first upgrade its flagship Galaxy smartphones and then tablets. Later on, the company will gradually push the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to mid-range and budget phones in different markets worldwide.

One UI 5.0 Features
Inspired by Android 13 OS, the One UI 5.0 version brings various new and useful features for consumers. In addition to significant improvements in the stock camera functionality, the One UI 5.0 brings a watermark feature so you can add it to every image just after setting up once.
Besides the camera, Samsung’s new iteration atop Android 13 adapts the upgraded Material You design language, extending Color Palette choices to 16. In addition to wallpaper-based Color Palettes, you can also choose Material You generated colors from the newly added Basic Colors section.

Enable Edge Panel
Firstly, find the handle of the Edge Panel which is basically located next to the volume buttons. Then drag to one side to scroll from right to left.
Now, tap on the Settings button in the lower right corner of the screen. From there you can choose which panel category to add. If you want widgets with animated messages, reminders, contacts, or tools for different purposes, just select the category to add an Edge Panel table with these settings.

New Contacts Widget
With One UI 5.1, Samsung further enhances the Contacts widget feature by adding a new and useful widget type. Once you install the latest One UI version, you can contacts widgets on your smartphone’s home screen in four formats, whereas in One UI 5.0, you can add it in 3 formats.
The fourth one is Direct Dial, which allows you to add four contact numbers to call directly.
