Text shortcuts

Text shortcuts work exceptionally nicely on the Samsung Keyboard. When you press the spacebar, the enlarged form is immediately displayed in the recommendations bar in place of the shortcut. You can add a shortcut by going to Keyboard settings and then Text Shortcuts. When you click Add, you may enter both your shortcut phrase and its enlarged phrase.

Enable Gesture

Two gesture controllers are supported by the Samsung Keyboard, however, you can only use one of them at once. You can enter text by swiping your finger between the characters when the “Swipe to type” option is activated, which is the default setting.

On the other hand, “cursor control” enables you to move the pointer to a precise location by gliding your finger across the keyboard, but you’ll need to choose it yourself. Simply select Swipe, touch, and feedback then Keyboard swipe controls from the Samsung keyboard settings.

It is possible to combine the best of both worlds, though. You can move the cursor by holding down the spacebar for a long time on the keyboard when you use the Swipe to Type option for quicker typing.

Quick access symbols

You can access some symbols quickly with the Samsung Keyboard. Simply keep the period key depressed to access ten additional signs. By giving you the option to swap out the letters with the ones you use most frequently, Samsung makes the function even more useful. To access it, go to the Samsung Keyboard settings and look under the Style and layout tab for the Custom symbols option.
