Samsung Galaxy S22 series received the first Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta update in select countries earlier this month. The company is gearing up to expand this update to more countries, simultaneously, it is testing Galaxy S21 One UI 5.0 Beta version.

While the Galaxy S22 series is the first, the Galaxy S21 is the second-best flagship Samsung smartphone. It is obvious that the company will test the One UI 5.0 beta version for these devices as well and that too shortly.
A piece of new information from the South Korean Samsung Community reveals that Samsung is developing a One UI 5.0 beta update for Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra in the country, and this update will soon go live for the users.

The screenshot shared by a user also reveals the version numbers of these under-development builds. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra One UI 5.0 beta updates are testing with the build version G991NKSU3ZVHA and with G996NKSU3ZVHA and G998NKSU3ZVHA respectively.

Additionally, the user said currently, Samsung is not testing Galaxy S20 One UI 5.0 beta but it is being tested as a full version.
Moving on, like the Galaxy S22 series, the One UI 5.0 beta version for Galaxy S21 will release in select countries. As for the S22, the update is live in Germany, South Korea, and the US, and will next spread to China, the UK, and India.
One UI 5.0 Beta features:
The major beta update comes with a slew of new features and countless changes. The company is now offering 16 color palettes that match your phone’s wallpapers. Alongside this, there are 12 more color options for home screens, icons, and quick panels to offer even more customization capability.
Next, there are Stack Widgets, which allow users to further customize their home screens by stacking widgets of the same size in a single location. With per-app language, you can set different languages for different applications.
One UI 5.0 also brings enhanced camera capabilities. You can now more seamlessly capture high-quality photos and video with a new icon in Pro and Pro Video mode that offers useful tips and tricks on how to use the various lenses, features, and controls.
There are new gestures for easier multitasking in the Labs section – Swipe for pop-up view and Swipe for Split Screen and new Accessibility options in Quick settings – High contrast font, Color inversion, Color adjustment, and Color filter features.

Samsung has begun releasing the October 2024 security update for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones. The update is rolling out in the US and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series are getting the October 2024 security update in the US through One UI builds given below.
- Galaxy S23 – S911USQS4CXI4
- Galaxy S23 Plus – S916USQS4CXI4
- Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918USQS4CXI4
The fresh update brings fixes for some issues that users encountered in previous versions to make your Galaxy S23 more stable and secure. The installation package size of this update is around 400MB.
October 2024 security update brings important fixes from both Google and Samsung, addressing vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and Samsung’s software. Google fixes 2 critical and 28 high-level issues, with 1 previously resolved and 2 not affecting Galaxy devices.
On the other side, Samsung resolves 12 specific vulnerabilities related to system services and Knox security. Additionally, Samsung Semiconductor has enhanced performance with a fix for 1 high-level issue.
The update is currently available for locked models and the company will expand it soon to unlocked ones. It is a gradual rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.
