Samsung is expanding the April 2022 Android security patch update for the Galaxy S20 LTE smartphone users in India. The update comes with basic improvements for the system’s performance and security.
It carries the One UI build version G985FXXSDFVC9 and a package size of 188MB. To get it on your phone, navigate Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

Samsung has dispatched a new software update for Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra smartphone owners in India that mainly installs the April 2022 Android security patch. It enhances the security of your phone and provides you with seamless performance.
Samsung Galaxy S20 April 2022 security update additionally comes with fixes for 88 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities and exploits from Google and Samsung. These include 27 high and 18 moderate levels of CVEs that are related to One UI Home, Samsung Dex, Storage Manager, and others.
Besides these, there’s nothing that the latest update comes with. You might notice some minor changes and improvements after having hands-on on this update.

Earlier, the corresponding device owners received the One UI 4.1 (Android 12) update. It brought revamped color palette, customizable RAM Plus, powerful privacy settings, Galaxy S22-inspired camera features, a Grammarly-powered keyboard as well as the ability to turn off Game Optimization Services.

As soon as your Galaxy S20 gets the update, it will notify you. In case you want to check it manually, enter the Settings of your smartphone. Now tap on Software update and then the Download and install option.
If the update is available and you want to install it, click Download now, and once downloaded install it on your phone. Finally, the phone will reboot and start initial app optimizations.

Samsung rolling out October 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5

Samsung has finally begun rolling out the October 2023 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones. These fifth-generation foldables are the first ones to get the latest patch.
October 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones can be identified through One UI builds versions F731USQS1AWI3 and F946USQS1AWI3 respectively. The update is currently available for locked models on the Verizon network in the US.
The company will soon expand this update to more Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 models. Other Galaxy smartphones and tablets are also expected to receive the October 2023 security update in the following days or weeks.
Importantly, this update focuses mainly on security fixes and functional improvements to provide a better and enhanced experience. However, Samsung has yet to disclose the details of security flaws of the latest patch.
