Android Banking Trojan infected Apps

Earlier, more than 300,000 Play Store users have been infected with the Android Banking Trojan. And now, a fake Flash Player Android app contains FluBot malware.

For those of you unfamiliar, FluBot is a banking Trojan. Its purpose is to steal your banking credentials by sending you login forms for various banks around the world.

FluBot appeared on the fake Flash Player app, but it also came out in the form of fake security updates, voicemail memos and parcel delivery notices.

If your device is infected with FluBot, when you install the app and give it the necessary permissions, it can steal online banking credentials, send and intercept SMS messages, capture screenshots, and report the bleeding computer.

Now, some of you may be curious as to whether this fake Flash Player is available through the Play Store or not. The answer to that question is no, NO! It is actually shared via the link, in the form of an SMS message, at least in the example provided by the source.

Users will receive an SMS containing a link to a page to download the Fake Flash Player APK. This concludes the installation of FluBot malware on the devices.

How to be safe from this malware?

Do not open suspicious links that you normally receive, especially via SMS messages and emails. If you do, do not download anything from those links, just skip the APKs.
