Gmail crossed 10 billion downloads milestone on Google Play Store

Gmail is a very essential application developed by Google, which comes preinstalled on almost every Android smartphone. It offers robust security, real-time notifications, multiple account support, and much more. As per the information, Gmail has now surpassed 10 billion (10B+) downloads on the Google Play store, which is a big achievement for the Gmail app after a long time.
Gmail 10B+downloads
Reaching 10 billion downloads indicates that Gmail is part of the Play Store app and can reach installs that way. Gmail began its journey as just a place to send and receive email communications, it has evolved in recent years with the integration of Chat and Meet as part of a broader “Workspace” rebrand and upgrade.[9to5google]
We are expecting this kind of download for Gmail, but because of its popularity and necessity, it takes a surprisingly very long time. This could be due to several reasons, the most notable being the fact that the mobile web app provides almost everything without having to be installed directly on the smartphone.
Apart from this, a few months ago, Google has also announced the Material You widget for Gmail through update With this, the app has modernized its existing widgets with only a little dynamic color. The rounded square FAB appears in the upper right corner, with the narrowest layout, displaying a list of messages and an archive button on the right.
Key Features:
- Turn on Google Chat to connect, create and collaborate with others
- Get more done as a group in Spaces – a dedicated place for organizing people, topics, and projects
- Enjoy high-quality video calling with Google Meet
- Get notified of new mail fast, with notification center, badge, and lock screen options
- Organize your mail by labeling, starring, deleting, and reporting spam
