Looking forward, the internet giant could soon introduce the affordable variant of the Pixel 6 namely Google Pixel 6a. This handset will highlight select flagship-grade features at comparatively lesser pricing, possibly, it will directly compete with upcoming Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy A53/A73.

91Mobiles report revealed that the Google Pixel 6a will be equipped with a 6.2-inch flat OLED display alongside a centered punch-hole camera and fingerprint scanner inside the panel.

On the rear side, the device will have a Pixel 6 like camera module with dual lenses and an LED flash. Possibly, the smartphone will feature a glass back and dual-tone finish, while it will have volume rockers and a power button on the right side.

It’s expected that the Pixel 6a could come with a mid-range Tensor processor like a Tensor lite or Snapdragon 778G. When it comes to camera, the device should have a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 primary sensor.

Speaking about memory configuration, the Pixel 6a might be available in 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Undoubtedly, the device will bring Android 12 out of the box with three Android OS and 5 years of security updates support.

Wild rumors reveal that Samsung will manufacture Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in its own foundry, which could be used in Galaxy S23 series devices. The rumor further claims, the production of processors developed by Qualcomm could be in charge of the factories of Samsung Foundry.

Twitter user @RGcloudS claims that the Galaxy S23-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset carries model number SM8550-AC, which is built on 4nm process tech-based N4P. Here, the PP stands for power performance indicating 5% higher frequency and 20% more power efficiency than the 8 Gen 2.

Through its own foundry, Samsung is likely to manufacture the custom processor’s components as per Galaxy S23 smartphones’ specifications. Since the Galaxy S23 lineup is going to use Snapdragon chipset worldwide, it’s an overclocked version, compared to the one released by Qualcomm.

About two weeks back, a tipster pointed out that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor’s model number is SM8550-AB, while, the 8 Gen 1’s model number is SM8450. As Qualcomm used “AB” suffix in the model number, the Galaxy S23’s exclusive chip could have model number SM8550-AC.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus flagships have been spotted on the United States’ FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification database. The timeline of application and certification suggests that the company is rapidly moving towards Galaxy S23 series launch, and it could happen early.

According to the information, the unreleased Galaxy S23 “standard and Plus” variants with model numbers SM-S911B and SM-S916B have been spotted on the FCC database. The documents reveal both of these devices could stick on 25W fast charging support.
