Samsung to soon expand Good Lock with exciting new features in more regions

Good Lock is going to become available in more smartphone markets along with a handful of new features, said Samsung developers that work on the development of this customization functionality. As of now, the Good Lock app is limited to a short number of countries without any reason.

Since its launch 5 years ago, Samsung Good Lock availability is limited to only 15 countries, meanwhile, it looks like things may be changed soon and it will make its debut in more regions and countries, hinted the Good Lock development team.

In a recent interview, members of Good Lock development crew at Samsung said that Good Lock actually provides the developers with a way to communicate with users. They can take in feedback and continue to expand Good Lock features.

Adding to this, Good Lock engineers also hint at the arrival of additional apps and modules for advanced One UI customization. It’s expected that Good Lock may be able to make custom stickers in Samsung Keyboard, enhanced theming, app icon customization, and so on.

Even after notable challenges in development, Samsung still committed to Good Lock. Furthermore, the developers stated that they will continue to develop Good Lock as long as users want. However, the team didn’t reveal a timeline for the changes, but it could happen with the Android 12 (One UI 4.0) update.

What’s Good Lock

For those unfamiliar, Good Lock is a powerful app that lets users several noticeable customization options for select Galaxy phones and tablets. It equips several modules that allow Galaxy device owners to customize the One UI, and enhance features such as AOD, one-handed mode, etc.

It’s said that the Korean tech giant received numerous customer support calls regarding the availability expansion of Good Lock. Due to its powerful customization capabilities, the Samsung Good Lock app has over 37 million downloads since its initial release.

It’s worth mentioning that the company needs to update Good Lock with every new major Android OS upgrade due to compatibility purposes. After upgrading to a newer version, all the previous customizations and settings need to redone by the user.
