Samsung has recently rolled out new application updates to its several Good Lock modules, which brings new features, bug fixes, performance improvements, and more.

Now, the company started delivering a new update to the Good Lock’s NotiStar module which can be identified via version number v3.1.30.0 and weighs just 5MB.

According to the release note, one of the new changes of this update is the NotiStar now shows the alert message when the lock screen hide content setting is turned on.

Moreover, it fixes the Database searching issues with special characters. However, the search function might not work properly if some special characters are included in the filter. Aside from this, the new update also brings fixes for some unknown/minor bugs for a better user experience.

Samsung Good Lock’s NotiStar module is one of the most customizable functions to change the user interface of your Galaxy smartphone. At the same time, the NotiStar app allows you to search through your notifications‌ or display only from specific apps, so you can quickly find what you are looking for.

Some Galaxy users have reported a recurring issue with the Samsung LockStar app, where notifications regarding the app’s status and editing options are unexpectedly displayed. This issue continues even when the camera is activated from the lock screen, which leads to an interruption in the user experience.

Samsung is already aware of the issue and a community moderator has confirmed that pop-ups initiated by activating the Lockstar shortcut are not behaving as expected.

The company has apologized for the inconvenience caused by this error and assured users that a resolution is coming with future app updates.

Recently, users encountered an issue with the LockStar app, where the Always On Display (AOD) preview does not match the actual display after the setting. This difference is particularly noticeable with the size of the notification icon.

Samsung LockStar offers a vast customization for lock screens on Galaxy devices. The upcoming updates are expected to enhance the user experience by eliminating disruptive notifications and improving the Always On Display feature.

One UI 6.1’s LockStar app update adds advanced AOD editing and brightness options

Samsung LockStar Good Lock module is receiving a fresh update with version 6.1.0.11 for One UI 6.1 devices. The update comes with two new features for Always On Display to enhance the lock screen customization.

The new update of the Samsung LockStar app brings the Edit AOD function for more personalized settings. In addition, it introduces a manual brightness slider for AOD, offering users the ability to adjust the display brightness manually.

To access these two new features, users must update their Always On Display (AOD) to version v8.7.99.11 or later. This latest version is compatible with devices that have been upgraded to Android 14-based One UI 6.1.

However, it’s important to note that these functions are not available on devices with a full-screen AOD, such as the Galaxy S24. Meanwhile, other Galaxy devices including Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5 and more can enjoy these features.

Users can get this update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. If you are using a Galaxy device running One UI 6.1, you can enjoy these two new features after installing the latest update.

Aside from this, Samsung plans to improve the widget placement and size adjustment on the lock screen through a new update on One UI 6.1 devices. This will provide even more control over their lock screen layout.
