Samsung Galaxy A50s getting Android 11-based One UI 3.1 alongside March 2021 security update

Just recently, Samsung released new camera features like Single Take and Night Hyperlapse for the Galaxy A50s phones. And now the company has started sending another firmware update to the A50s users that is packed with tons of new features and improvements, thanks to the Android 11 and One UI 3.1.

According to the info, the Galaxy A50s owners in Vietnam have begun receiving the second and last major Android OS upgrade with the third generation of One UI. This firmware bears a release number A507FNXXU5DUB6 and equips a set of One UI 3.0 and One UI 3.1 features. Along with this, the March 2021 security patch is included with this FOTA in order to enhance the system security.

The third generation of the One UI, the One UI 3 features a truly revamped user interface compared to the previous generations. In addition, several system functions such as lock screen, app drawer, settings menu, etc. are refreshed with this version. You can check the full One UI 3.0 changelog HERE.

As specified before, the Galaxy A50s users are directly getting the One UI 3.1 that is a minor upgraded version of the One UI 3.0. This iteration brings some new features like Private Share, double-tap to sleep, Samsung Free, video calling effects, Google Duo integration with stock dialer app, and many MORE.

Aside from this, the Galaxy A50s devices will also get all the bells and whistles of Android 11 including Chat Bubbles, better privacy controls, one-time permission for apps, built-in screen recording, notification history, major system optimizations, and more.

Since it’s an initial rollout, so it may take some time to be available outside Vietnam. You can also check for this update manually by navigating to your device Settings, select the Software updates category then finally tap on Download and install.
