Huawei’s 2024 Samsung Z Flip rival launches with quad camera, tiny cover screen
Samsung is currently the ruler in the foldable phone market and is also preparing new foldable models to cater to the needs of a diverse range of users, therefore, Huawei already entered the ground with its new clamshell device to rival the 2024 Galaxy Z Flip.
The most awaited Huawei Pocket 2 is finally launched with an improved main display, increased cover display, better rear cameras, and stylish design. But even after adopting some upgrades, Huawei could not beat the glory of Galaxy Flip, as they are better than anything.
Yet, there is one aspect in which Huawei Pocket 2 could rival the 2024 Samsung Z Flip, is the quad camera setup. Yes, the newly arrived folding phone from Huawei offers an XMAGE quad camera setup that consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, an 8MP telephoto, and 3x optical zoom.
Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to come with the same dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP main and ultrawide lens. Even though, the camera quality of Samsung’s upcoming clamshell device may beat, the immense-looking quad camera module and could win the hearts of users.
Moving ahead, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is currently the latest clamshell model of Samsung and it is also said to be the best invention of 2023. The device comes with a large 3.4-inch cover display, while the Pocket 2 only features a 1.15-inch cover panel making it less functional for users.
However, the other key details of Huawei Pocket 2 include a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED panel, a Kirin 9000S processor, a 4,520mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging, 40W wireless fast charging, and 7.5W wireless reverse charging, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type C, NFC support and more.
Pixel Fold 2 leaks in renders, showing ultra thin design
Google is reportedly working on a second-generation foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold 2, which could launch later this year. The device has been leaked several times, revealing some of its key features and design. Now, the Pixel Fold 2’s CAD renders appear online, which show a bigger and better display than its predecessor
According to @OnLeaks (collab with SmartPrix), the Pixel Fold 2 will sport a 7.9-inch inner display with smaller and uniform bezels and an under-display selfie camera. The outer display will also be larger, measuring 6.4 inches. Both displays will have rounded corners, giving the device a sleeker look.
On the back, the Pixel Fold 2 features a rectangular camera bump, housing four lenses and a flash. It will be thinner and lighter than the Pixel Fold, despite having a bigger size. The device reportedly measures 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.54mm when folded, making it one of the thinnest foldable smartphones on the market.
Following Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 could be next to ship with 7 Android upgrades and Galaxy AI
Samsung shipped the Galaxy S24 series with 7 years of Android upgrades, and now it seems that the upcoming foldable phones including Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 could be the next devices to come with this significant update support and Galaxy AI features.
According to the information, a tipster @TheGalox_ shared some key details of Galaxy Z Flip 6, which suggest that the smartphone will boast a 4000mah battery, a bigger cover display of 3.9 inches, and an upgraded dual camera setup consisting of 50MP and 12MP sensors.
The clamshell device will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a bigger cooling system, and an improved hinge and internal layout for an optimized experience. In addition, the smartphone will be thinner and lighter having a stronger glass and inner display as compared to its predecessor.
Moving on, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also tipped to support 7 years of Android upgrades and might be equipped with Galaxy AI features, therefore, this is what makes the sixth-generation clamshell device different from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Thus, users can expect the Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone to come with various upgraded software and hardware capabilities. Consequently, the Korean tech giant is expected to launch its next generation of foldable phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2024.
