T-Mobile sending October 2020 security patch for Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Recently, Verizon has rolled out the October 2020 security update for Galaxy Note 8 smartphones, and now, one of the major carriers of the U.S., T-Mobile has begun sending a new update for Galaxy Note 8 phones.

According to the information, this update comes with a software version of N950USQS8DTJ1 and brings the latest One UI security patch released in October 2020 to increase the security and stability of your device.

Other than the latest security patch, this update doesn’t bring any new features. The update schedule reveals that the Galaxy Note 8 will be featured with quarterly upgraded and instead of monthly updates.

How to check for updates manually:

  1. Tap Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.
  2. Wait for the device to check for updates.
  3. Tap OK > Start.
  4. When the restart message appears, tap OK.
