T-Mobile rolling out October 2020 security patch for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+

T-Mobile has begun sending a new firmware update for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ in the U.S. It comes with the latest security patch to improve device security.

This new update for the Galaxy S8 series identified with build numbers: G950USQS8DTJ2 and G955USQS8DTJ2 for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ respectively.

Other than the latest October 2020 security patch, this new software update doesn’t bring any new features or improvements to its software system.

Samsung has already provided the October 2020 security patch for international variants but the carriers in the country have its own testing terms so that the update comes late in comparison to the variants without carriers branding.

The unlocked variants in the country, even the Galaxy S8 series phones locked on Sprint also received the latest security patch before few days.

If you are from the United States and chosen T-Mobile as your network provider then check for the update notification or update your device now by following the steps given below.

Settings > Software updates > Download and install.
