Sprint Galaxy Tab A gets October 2020 security patch with a new software update

Samsung Galaxy Tab A started receiving the latest Android security patch released in October 2020. One of the carriers of the U.S., Sprint started rolling out a new software update to its carrier-locked Galaxy Tab A tablets.

According to the information, this update comes with a software version of T307USQS3BTJ1 that installs the October 2020 security patch. Apart from the security patch, the changelog mentions that if your device is encrypted then you have to decrypt it before doing an attempt to update your device.

Changelog:

  • The security of your device has been improved.

If your device is encrypted, it must be decrypted before upgrading.

If the update notification doesn’t arrive at you, check for the update manually, follow the simple steps given below.

  • Open Settings
  • Go for Software Update
  • Download and Install
