Samsung Galaxy Note 20 March 2023 update expands to India
Samsung starts rolling out March 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra 5G in India. The latest patch expands in India, over two weeks after its initial debut in the United States. Consumers may have been waiting for the April release and the company is just bringing the March patch.
Last month, the South Korean tech giant released the feature-packed One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra in India. Compared to the previous release, the patch OTA feels too tiny, and it’s really a tiny package, which just brings security improvements.
For the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung is reportedly testing a big camera optimization update. Since the Note 20 series has also upgraded to the One UI 5.1, we hope the company may offer optimized camera performance with its next update to the lineup.
Android 13 was the last major OS upgrade for the Galaxy Note 20 series, similar to the Galaxy S20 series. Therefore, if you want to experience future One UI versions, it becomes necessary to upgrade to a new Galaxy, as there are a lot of choices including the Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Coming to the security patch, the update brings crucial bug fixes to your Galaxy Note 20 device. Google’s Project Zero team discovered some severe vulnerabilities in Exynos modems, which may have affected select Galaxy models such as the Galaxy S22 series.
With the April 2023 patch, the South Korean tech giant promised to fix the last remaining Exynos modem vulnerability on affected Galaxy phones. Until the next release, you will have to wait longer as the March patch deployment has just begun in India.

First of all, make sure your device is connected to a stable network connection and has a battery percentage of over 60 percent. After ensuring this, you can either create a backup or proceed directly to start a manual March 2023 update search on your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra. Follow the steps listed below:

Welcome to the May 2024 Week I of Samsung’s newest updates! This May, Samsung is rolling out fresh updates, bringing the newest features and fixes to your Galaxy devices. Samsung initiated the month with the release of the April 2024 patch for a range of devices, including the Galaxy S20 FE, A24, Tab A8, and more. Also, the company expanded this patch to more Galaxy devices in different markets.
The most notable aspect of this week’s update is the beginning of the One UI 6.1 Phase II rollout. Flagship devices such as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, and the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Z Flip 3 began receiving the One UI 6.1 update. This update was anticipated to bring new features and a refreshed interface to enhance the user experience with selected AI features.
However, Samsung encountered some issues with the new software such as device rebooting and lock screen. As a result, the company reportedly temporarily stopped the rollout of One UI 6.1 and reverted the affected devices to the previous One UI 6.0 version.
Looking ahead, Samsung will reportedly begin the One UI 6.1 Phase III rollout on May 14 in Canada. This phase will include the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A53.
This week’s updates also extend to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, XCover 7, and XCover 6 Pro, which received support for 4G in Europe. This update specifically revises the LTE TDD band support. For devices purchased in Germany, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries, aligning with regional network requirements.

Samsung has started rolling out the advanced 4G band support update for Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, Galaxy XCover 7, and Galaxy XCover 6 devices. The update 4G network compatibility by enhancing the band.
The fresh update has revised support for the LTE TDD band. For German-purchased devices, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
In addition, the update also improves the security and stability of the device. It also fixes some issues for error-free services.
