Starting this month, Samsung released the newer security patch to the Galaxy S10 series, followed by several mid-range and budget phones. Moreover, the company’s every eligible flagship device had already started receiving the July 2021 security patch in different regions globally.
Recently, the Korean tech giant pushed a new firmware update for the Galaxy A41 and Galaxy XCover 4s smartphones in Russia and the Nordic region respectively. The update brings the latest Android and One UI patches released in July 2021 for better system security.

Users can identify the update through version numbers: A415FXXS1CUG1 and G398FNXXUCCUG1 for the Galaxy A41 and Galaxy XCover 4s respectively. However, it is an initial rollout, the OEM should soon expand its reach to other regions and countries.
What’s new with Samsung July 2021 update
Google confirmed that the July 2021 Android security update brings fixes for dozens of CVEs, while it fixes 41 CVEs on Galaxy devices. Moreover, Samsung additionally brings fixes for 8 SVEs for better overall system security as well as stability.
How to check for update manually?
As always, just open your device’s Settings, scroll down then tap on the Software updates menu. Wait for update checking and hit the Download and install button if the device recognizes a new OTA update.

Samsung has begun releasing the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The update is available in Europe and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
