Samsung’s old washing machine is smart again after a user turns to Claude AI
Samsung stopped supporting the internet features of an old washing machine, but a user has found a way to bring them back with the help of Claude AI.
The user bought the Samsung washing machine more than 10 years ago. It had features such as a touchscreen, automatic detergent dispensing and remote control through the internet. However, Samsung later stopped supporting its smart features.
Instead of buying a new washing machine, the user decided to try AI. With Claude’s help, the user restored the machine’s internet connection and smart features in about two hours.
The washing machine can now be controlled through Samsung’s SmartThings app. The user can select washing programmes, change temperatures and adjust spin speeds. It can also connect with a Samsung dryer and automatically select the correct drying settings when the washing cycle ends.
The user believes this solution could help the washing machine work for another five years. This could save money and reduce electronic waste by avoiding the need to buy a new machine.
However, there are some risks. Modified devices may have security problems, mainly when they no longer receive official software updates. This could make them easier for hackers to attack. This shows how AI can help people repair old products and use them for longer.

Gemini may finally fix this annoying chat history issue
Google may soon introduce a new feature in its Gemini app that will allow users to delete multiple conversations at once. This will make it easier to remove old and unwanted chats without deleting them one by one.
Currently, Gemini users can open the app and tap the menu in the top-left corner to view their past conversations. Users can long-press a chat to pin, share, or delete it. However, they can only manage one conversation at a time.
Google is reportedly working on a new “Select” option in version 17.70.10.sa.arm64 of the Google app for Android. This option may allow users to select multiple chats and delete them with a single action.

The new feature could be helpful for people who use Gemini regularly. Many users have long chat histories because they use the AI assistant for studying, writing, coding, and finding information. Removing unwanted conversations one by one can take time, so the new option could make the process faster and easier.
However, deleting chats from the history does not necessarily mean that all related data is removed from Google’s systems.
Google has not officially confirmed when this feature will be available to users. It is currently believed to be under development. It is also unclear whether Google will bring the same feature to Gemini’s website. Stay tuned for more information.

Google makes it easier to share apps created with Gemini
Google has introduced a new feature that makes it easier to share apps created with Gemini. Users can now move their interactive apps directly to Google Sites with just a few clicks. They do not need to write code or build the app again.
With this feature, users can create tools such as calculators, quizzes, and dashboards using Gemini and share them online. It makes the process simple, even for people who have no coding knowledge.
To use this feature, users first need to create an app in Gemini. Once the app is ready, they can select the Export >> Google Sites option. Google will open a new, private Google Sites draft with the app already added.

Users can then customize the website, add text or other information, and publish it. The app remains fully interactive, which means visitors can use its features directly on the website. For example, teachers can create quizzes and share them with students. Businesses can also create dashboards to show team performance and share them with employees.
The new feature is available on the web, Android, and iOS. Eligible users with personal Google accounts, Google Workspace accounts, and Workspace Individual accounts can use it.
This update makes it easier to turn ideas into useful online tools. Users can now create apps with Gemini and share them through Google Sites without dealing with complicated steps or writing code.

Google removes useful search feature, but there is a workaround
Google has removed the useful “Export to Docs” feature from its Search AI Mode. This feature allowed users to save AI-generated answers directly to Google Docs with just a few clicks.
Earlier, users could open the three-dot menu in Google Search AI Mode and select “Export to Docs” to save their research. Now, the option has disappeared from both desktop and mobile versions.
The change may affect students, professionals, and others who use Google Search for research. Without this shortcut, users must copy the answers and paste them into Google Docs manually.
Manual copying can also cause formatting problems. Headings and bold text may not appear correctly, forcing users to spend extra time fixing their documents. Some users have also tried installing older versions of the Google app, but the feature has not returned.

There is still a simple workaround. Google’s Gemini app allows users to export AI-generated answers directly to Google Docs. NotebookLM also offers a similar option for saving reports.
Users who regularly save research can switch to Gemini or NotebookLM instead of using Google Search AI Mode. This can help them avoid the extra work of copying and pasting information.
However, Google has not explained why the feature was removed or confirmed whether it will return. For now, users will have to use these alternative tools or save their answers manually. The removal may seem like a small change, but it makes saving research less convenient.

Samsung expands Galaxy AI and Bixby language support with new additions
Samsung is adding support for more languages to Galaxy AI and Bixby. This update will help more people use Samsung’s AI features in their own languages and make their phones easier to use.
Galaxy AI is adding Hungarian and Malay to features like Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter, and Transcript Assist. These tools help users translate calls, understand conversations, take notes, and summarize information. With this update, features such as Live Translate will support 24 languages.
Samsung is also expanding Now Nudge, a feature that suggests useful actions based on what is shown on the phone’s screen. It is adding eight languages: Dutch, Filipino, Gujarati, Hungarian, Malay, Romanian, Swedish, and Turkish. Now Nudge will also support 24 languages.

Bixby is getting three new languages: Polish, Thai, and Vietnamese. With these additions, Bixby will support 12 languages. Users can talk to Bixby in simple words to control their phones and change settings without searching through menus or remembering exact setting names.
Samsung will begin rolling out the new Bixby languages on October 14, 2026. The new Galaxy AI languages will arrive in the coming weeks. The release schedule may vary depending on the device and country. Some languages may need to be downloaded through the phone’s Settings app.
With this update, Samsung aims to make its AI features more useful and accessible to people around the world. More language options will help users communicate easily, complete daily tasks, and control their Galaxy devices in their preferred languages.

Gmail Live may soon get seven new voices from Gemini
Google may soon add seven new voices to Gmail Live. This update will allow users to choose different voices while using Google’s AI feature in Gmail. Currently, Gmail Live offers only one voice, Orbit.
Gmail Live helps users find information in their emails by asking questions. For example, users can ask about meeting dates, upcoming events, or important messages. The AI searches their inbox and provides the information they need.
The seven new voices are Pegasus, Capella, Dipper, Orion, Ursa, Vega, and Eclipse. These voices are already available in Gemini Live, Google’s AI assistant. Google may bring them to Gmail Live to give users more choices.
However, two Gemini voices, Glow and Flare, are missing from the current list. Google may add them later, but there is no official confirmation yet.

The new feature may include a three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the Gmail Live screen. Users could tap it and select the Voice settings option to see the available voices. Orbit is expected to remain the default voice.
However, changing the voice may restart the conversation. This means users could lose their ongoing chat. Gmail Live may show a warning before users change the voice.
Google has not announced when the new voices will be available. Similar voice-changing features are also being developed for Google Keep and Google Docs. If released, these updates could give users more ways to customize their experience with Google’s AI tools.
