ANDROID 14 QPR3 BETA 2.1

X/Twitter user AssembleDebut spotted code changes in the Google Photos app, indicating that the ability to change categories of images in the Documents section is under testing.

Google Photos rolled out the Documents section of the app in April 2021. This AI-derived Documents tab of Google Photos is about to get better, thanks to the ability to change the Categories of images.

Photos app’s Documents tab works with AI and machine learning to label images. It combines different images with categories labeled; Sign, Screenshots, Recipes, Posters, Handwriting, Text Messaging, Notebook, Menus and so on.

Sometimes, the section comprises unnecessary images in categories that are not applicable. It leads users get frustrated, rather than making the Documents section useful. Hence, the manual category tool is testing for the Photos app so you can easily remove unnecessary ones.
