Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to launch with the same 60W charging speed support as the Galaxy S27 Ultra next year. A leaked 3C database listing, which is considered a credible authority, revealed the charging speed.

Earlier this week, a 3C listing exposed the wired charging support of the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus flagships. Now, the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra models’ charging support has been leaked, as spotted by @ZionsAnvin.

Galaxy S26 Ultra was the first to support 60W wired charging. Galaxy S27 Ultra is retaining the charging speed, but the inclusion of the Galaxy S27 Pro is the most interesting development.

Samsung is keeping Galaxy S27 charging restricted to 25W, while the Plus is getting 45W. The top-tier models, meanwhile, are bringing support for the company’s highest standard, 60W.

Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra may bring another upgrade in the power segment. The two flagships may come with a silicon-carbon anode. The former may feature a 5200mAh battery, while the latter could get a 5,700mAh battery.

Despite the battery upgrade, Samsung may maintain the premium aesthetics of the two products. The battery and charging upgrades are seemingly realized by the revamped design language Samsung finalized for the two models.

A price hike seems inevitable due to the ongoing memory crisis and component shortage. Even Apple is not immune to the memory crunch, reportedly raising the prices of its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models by $100 in the US.

Samsung has put an iPhone 17 Pro inside its own IFA 2026 exhibition space in Berlin, and the reason is more strategic than it first appears.

The unusual IFA 2026 display places Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, effectively turning the two phones into a demonstration of how easily users can move from iPhone to Galaxy.

The centerpiece of that pitch is Samsung’s Smart Switch service.

With One UI 9, Samsung has made switching from an iPhone considerably less troublesome. A Galaxy phone can generate a QR code that an iPhone scans with its camera, establishing a wireless connection without requiring a separate Smart Switch app on the iPhone.

Supported transfers now include photos, messages, contacts, apps, call history, Wi-Fi information, passwords and passkeys, among other data. That matters because Samsung is facing an important moment for its premium phone business.

Counterpoint Research says Apple could take 25% of the global foldable smartphone market in its first year, while Samsung is forecast to remain ahead at 32%. Overall foldable shipments are expected to grow 21% in 2026.

The timing of Samsung’s iPhone display therefore makes sense. Apple is set to unveil its first foldable iPhone on September 9, putting the Galaxy Z Fold 8 directly in the path of Apple’s existing customer base.

Samsung also has plenty of room to gain among premium users. Apple held 65% of the global premium smartphone market in the first half of 2026, compared with Samsung’s 19%.

So, Samsung didn’t buy an iPhone 17 Pro simply to show off Apple’s hardware. It bought one to show iPhone owners that moving to Galaxy doesn’t have to mean leaving their digital lives behind.

The Claude maker’s planned IPO is shaping up to be more than another massive AI listing. With Anthropic targeting a valuation of around $2 trillion, its arrival on public markets could create a new destination for money that has increasingly flowed into AI infrastructure stocks, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.

Anthropic is now expected to begin marketing its IPO around mid-October, with the prospectus potentially arriving later this month. Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are reportedly taking leading roles, while JPMorgan, Citi and Barclays are also involved.

The concern for Samsung and SK Hynix is not that Anthropic will suddenly reduce demand for memory. Meanwhile, Anthropic’s expanding AI workloads require enormous amounts of computing infrastructure, supporting demand for HBM and server memory.

The issue is where investors choose to place their money.

Samsung and SK Hynix have become major public-market beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure boom. Anthropic would give investors a direct way to bet on the AI model business itself rather than semiconductor suppliers.

That distinction matters as Anthropic’s annualized revenue reportedly reached $65 billion in July, although that figure remains a run-rate rather than booked annual revenue.

South Korea has already shown strong investor interest in major AI-related listings, while Samsung and SK Hynix themselves remain closely tied to the sector.

Both companies also participated in Anthropic’s latest funding round, making the relationship more complicated than simple competition.

If Anthropic commands a $2 trillion valuation, investors could rotate toward frontier AI companies. If the IPO disappoints, however, the bigger risk is a reassessment of AI valuations and spending, which could eventually weigh on the entire semiconductor supply chain.

Samsung SDS is preparing to reveal a clearer roadmap for its emerging robotics business next week, giving a closer look at how the company plans to bring physical AI and robots into real-world industrial operations.

According to SEDaily, Samsung SDS will discuss its robotics strategy at REAL Summit 2026, scheduled for September 8 at COEX in Seoul.

Samsung SDS has positioned this year’s event around enterprise AI transformation, with robotics emerging as one of the more interesting parts of its broader expansion.

Samsung SDS is building a robot orchestration business

The company’s robotics push goes beyond simply supplying robots.

Samsung SDS said in its second-quarter results that it plans to build a robot orchestration business capable of integrating different types of robots and connecting them with manufacturing execution systems (MES).

That strategy received a major boost in June when Samsung SDS, through Samsung Venture Investment, made a strategic investment in US-based physical AI company Walden Robotics. The partnership is expected to help Samsung SDS combine its software, cloud and manufacturing expertise with physical AI capabilities.

The timing of next week’s announcement is particularly interesting.

Samsung SDS just held RX ART 2026 in Mountain View, where it worked with Samsung affiliates and robotics companies including Walden Robotics and RoboForce to validate potential industrial applications.

These included parts handling, consumable replacement and difficult outdoor industrial tasks.

With those field tests now underway, REAL Summit could provide the first meaningful look at how Samsung SDS intends to turn these experiments into a broader Robotics Transformation (RX) business.

Samsung is taking home several IFA Innovation Awards 2026 honors for its latest lineup of AI-powered home appliances, highlighting the company’s growing focus on combining smart features with designs that blend into modern homes.

The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner received the biggest recognition, winning in the Best in Design category while also earning an honor in Best in Home Appliances.

Samsung’s design approach uses a grid-inspired exterior intended to complement contemporary interiors rather than making the air conditioner a visually dominant part of the room.

The system can adjust airflow using radar-based sensing and multiple movable wings, while the WindFree Wearable Good Sleep feature can work with a compatible Galaxy wearable to adapt cooling according to the user’s sleep condition.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub was also recognized in the Best in Design category. Its 32-inch display serves as a central interface for managing food and connected kitchen functions.

An internal camera can identify groceries, helping users keep track of food and receive recipe suggestions through Samsung’s connected services.

Bespoke AI Refrigerator earned recognition in the Best in Home Appliances category. Its slim installation requirements, zero-clearance hinge and SpaceMax technology are designed to provide more usable storage without increasing its external footprint.

The awards arrive as IFA 2026 runs from September 4 to 8 in Berlin, giving Samsung another opportunity to showcase how AI is becoming a bigger part of its connected home strategy.
