Samsung’s internal roadmap doesn’t wait for retail shelves, and a fresh batch of code names gives us a decent early look at next year’s foldables. Samsung is working on five Galaxy Z projects, including a Rollable phone and a TriFold 2.

As spotted by GalaxyClub, Samsung product pipeline probably includes five Galaxy Z phones for 2027, including the Z Flip 9, Z Fold 9, Z Fold 9 Ultra, Rollable phone, and TriFold 2.

A new Galaxy Z Flip is in development under the code name B9, so a Flip 9 in 2027 is basically locked in. The Galaxy Z Fold 9 is tracked internally as H9, while the code name Q9, which covers two separate variants: Q9A and Q9B for Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra and Galaxy Z TriFold 2.

Code named Z9, the fifth device reportedly leans more tablet than phone in terms of hardware. The input points toward the long-rumored rollable, a device with a display that physically extends or retracts to change screen size.

Five Samsung Galaxy Z projects leak

  1. B9 → Expected to be Galaxy Z Flip 9
  2. H9 → Expected to be Galaxy Z Fold 9
  3. Q9A → Believed to be Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra
  4. Q9B → Believed to be the second-generation Galaxy Z TriFold
  5. Z9 → An unreleased rollable/slidable tablet-like device

We can’t say yet what Samsung would actually call Z9, or whether it lands under the Galaxy Z banner at all. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9, and Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra devices are fairly safe bets for summer 2027.
