Samsung will officially reveal One UI 9 Watch today, but the design inspired by the new wearable platform has already started rolling out to the Galaxy Wearable app.

At Unpacked, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2. The two smartwatches will come preinstalled with the Wear OS 7-based One UI 9 Watch operating system.

Samsung has already rolled out the redesigned Health app, which previews the latest features. Now, the Galaxy Wearable app’s redesign is starting to roll out to users of existing Galaxy Watch models.

One UI 9 Watch-based Galaxy Wearable rolling out

Samsung’s One UI 9 Watch is the latest wearable platform launching today. Unlike One UI 9 Beta, the company hasn’t released the One UI 9 Watch Beta Program. However, it is expected to be available shortly after the Unpacked event.

The redesigned Galaxy Wearable app comes with a cleaner interface. The new appearance adopts subtle gradients, replacing the old all-black interface. The Wearable app redesign also includes floating cards and a more organized layout.

The app’s navigation bar has also turned floating. The three-tab interactive element now includes Watch Faces, Home, and Settings. It allows you to use navigation without surrendering much of the screen estate at the bottom.

One of the most noticeable upgrades is the redesigned Home tab. Rather than serving mainly as a shortcut to settings, it now provides an overview of your connected Galaxy Watch, including its battery level, estimated time remaining, and direct access to frequently used features such as notifications, Tiles, apps, and the Quick Panel.

Samsung has also refreshed the watch face selection experience. Instead of showing simple thumbnail images, each watch face is now presented on a realistic watch preview, giving users a much clearer idea of how it will appear on the device before they set it.

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will launch at the Samsung Unpacked event tomorrow, but a leak has just spoiled almost every secret, including the smartwatch’s price, sports features, AI Health, battery life, and performance.

Starting with price, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could cost €749 in Europe for its single 47mm variant. The frame is made of Titanium and comes in two evergreen colorways, including Titanium Gray and Titanium Silver.

Samsung has used the Snapdragon Wear Elite rather than the Exynos W1000 chip. This shift offers a 32 percent faster CPU and 19 percent faster GPU performance over the Watch Ultra.

The company has also brought a bigger battery with a capacity of 800mAh. This is a 35 percent bump over the original Watch Ultra, which results in a battery life enough for “all-day” workout tracking (via @Phonenurd).

While the aesthetics are unchanged, Samsung has managed to reduce the watch’s thickness by 12 percent. The Watch Ultra 2 is just 10.7mm thick, while the band (silicone) goes down to 1.9mm that is lighter and softer.

For a rugged smartwatch, Samsung is collaborating with Mares to fully utilize the IP69 water resistance. Users will need to install a separate Mares app for full dive-tracking features such as real-time depth and temperature data.

Samsung will also highlight that major Health upgrades that have already landed as a preview on the Health app. All those health tracking tools will be functional in the Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 running One UI 9 Watch OS.

Seasoned leaker Evan Blass is back with a massive Samsung leak. This time, Evan brings us the official promo images for the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, confirming key specs, including the battery, display, and more.

Samsung is set to launch Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at a mega Unpacked event on July 22. The company hasn’t even teased its second-generation rugged smartwatch. Meanwhile, we now have an early look at its most highlighted specifications.

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 brings 5000 nits display, 800mAh battery

The promotional images confirm key specs of the Watch Ultra 2. The wearable is getting a bigger battery and upgraded display. The capacity now hits 800mAh, significantly larger than Samsung’s first rugged smartwatch.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will feature a display with up to 5,000 nits of brightness. It’s a massive upgrade over the first-generation Watch Ultra, which has 3,000 nits screen.

In addition, the pictures confirm Titanium material, which is lighter and more durable. The smartwatch comes with an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance. Another design highlight is 12 percent thinner body than the OG model.

A leaked promotional image also confirmed the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. The same SoC will power the Galaxy Watch 9 smartwatch. Samsung is set to drop the Exynos Wear portfolio from its wearable segment, starting this year.

Earlier, it was revealed that Samsung is raising the prices of its new wearables. The price hike for Europe indicated a steep bump on the Ultra-branded smartwatch, which gets 64GB of storage.

Samsung is planning to launch its open-ear earbuds, tentatively called Galaxy Buds Able or Galaxy Buds On, sometime in October 2026. It was assumed that the company would bring it at the Unpacked event, but it doesn’t seem to be happening.

ETNews reports that Samsung has decided to push back the launch while it continues refining the open-ear Galaxy Buds Able/On, giving the earbuds their own stage instead of sharing attention with the company’s broader wearable announcements.

Launching a new category of earbuds separately gives Samsung more room to explain why this product exists and how it fits into the Galaxy ecosystem.

The new earbuds reportedly adopt an open-ear, clip-on design that wraps around the outer ear. This design allows users to hear traffic, conversations, and other surrounding sounds while listening to music or podcasts.

This year’s presentation is expected to put health and fitness front and center, with the Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 taking most of the spotlight.

For now, October looks like the most likely target, although Samsung has yet to officially confirm either the name or the launch timeline.

Samsung’s Unpacked products have almost been revealed, with the latest leak covering the Galaxy Watch 9 press images. This follows the previous drop by Evan Blass, which exposed the three upcoming foldable phones.

Galaxy Watch 9 press images reveal colors, chip, and features

The marketing images show what Samsung will highlight at the event and afterwards. The new smartwatch focuses on practical health features. One UI 9 Watch is also on display, with the tiles appearing even clearer.

One press image sheds light on three tiles of the smartwatch, including Sleep (duration), Energy score, and Sleep (quality). This shows Samsung is moving past just stats and offers easily understandable info at a glance.

Another image puts the Galaxy Watch 9 in all the colorways on display. The smartwatch will be available in two sizes, including 40mm and 44mm. The color shades will include Cream, Graphite, Green, and Silver.

Beyond that, the press image confirms the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip. Samsung has abandoned its in-house Exynos wearable chipset. Galaxy Watches launched in the past had featured Exynos W-series chips inside.

Qualcomm already confirmed the next-gen Galaxy watches will use its Snapdragon Wear Elite chip. The industry had anticipated that the Watch 9 may retain Exynos chip, while the Snapdragon SoC would be used in Watch Ultra 2.

Earlier, Samsung unveiled the new AI-powered Health features. These new tools have already been added to the Samsung Health app; however, they will only be functional on the next-generation Samsung smartwatch models.
