Chinese electronics company TCL has sued South Korean company Samsung in a US court. TCL says Samsung falsely advertised some of its TVs as using “Mini LED” technology. The case was filed in a federal court in Los Angeles.

Mini LED is a TV technology that can improve picture quality. It can provide better contrast, brighter pictures and clearer dark areas. TCL says its Mini LED TVs offer these benefits to customers.

TCL claims Samsung’s M Model TVs do not actually use Mini LED technology. The company says Samsung used older standard LED TV designs instead. TCL says Samsung then sold these TVs as Mini LED models.

According to TCL, Samsung launched the M Model TVs in March at lower prices than TCL’s cheapest Mini LED TVs. TCL says this may have confused customers who wanted better picture quality and were looking for genuine Mini LED televisions.

TCL also says Samsung’s actions hurt its sales and reputation. The company said it became the top seller of Mini LED TVs in the US between 2023 and 2025. TCL believes Samsung’s new TVs helped the company win back some market share.

Samsung has rejected TCL’s accusations and said it will strongly defend itself in court. The company said it stands behind the quality of its products and the accuracy of its product descriptions.

TCL is asking the court to stop Samsung from calling the disputed TVs “Mini LED.” It is also seeking an unspecified amount of money in damages. The case shows the growing competition between the two major TV companies.

Samsung Electronics is taking its “Your Companion to AI Living” vision to Berlin as part of its IFA 2026 showcase, putting the focus on how AI can become a more natural part of everyday life.

From September 2 to 6, Samsung is opening an experience space at Humboldt Carré in central Berlin, ahead of the main IFA 2026 exhibition.

The company is presenting AI across entertainment, connected home appliances and personal care, building on the broader AI Living strategy it first introduced at CES 2026.

Samsung has divided the experience into three areas:

1. Entertainment Companion
2. Home Companion
3. Self-Care Companion

The Entertainment Companion section highlights Samsung’s latest TV and gaming technologies, while the Home Companion area shifts attention to appliances.

Samsung is also putting its latest Galaxy devices at the center of the Self-Care Companion experience, including the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9.

The Galaxy S26 FE gets a dedicated hands-on area ahead of its September 4 launch, giving visitors an early look at Samsung’s latest Fan Edition phone and its One UI 9-powered AI features.

Samsung’s message at IFA 2026 is clear: AI Living is less about adding another AI button and more about making connected technology useful in the moments when people actually need it.

Samsung is reportedly exploring Exynos 2700 chip adoption in the Galaxy S27 Ultra flagship. If Samsung succeeds, this could be the end of Snapdragon exclusivity.

The company has traditionally maintained Snapdragon chip exclusivity in the US, Canada, and China. Other regions, including Asia, Europe, and South Africa seen Exynos processors in standard models and the Ultra in the past.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra might get Exynos 2700

According to Money Today, Samsung ordered Galaxy S27 Ultra motherboards featuring the Exynos 2700 chipset. The prototype could then be developed for testing purposes, and engineers will verify whether it is good to go.

Starting with the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung reduced the share of Exynos chip adoption. Galaxy S23 Ultra marked a major shift in chip strategy, with the Ultra variant exclusively featuring Snapdragon chips worldwide.

Galaxy S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra and S26 Ultra are equipped with Snapdragon chips. Samsung appears to be trying to break this monopoly by bringing its in-house Exynos to the top-tier flagship lineup in 2027.

Earlier, it was reported that Samsung’s System LSI arm is forcing the MX Division to expand the utilization of flagship Exynos SoC. The company has added a new Pro model to next year’s lineup, which could also get Exynos.

Exynos can be beneficial for Samsung as the Ultra ships the most among the three models. Galaxy S27 Pro could be a hit due to its portable design appeal.

An industry insider noted, “It is unusual to add an Exynos version when the main development process centered on Snapdragon is nearly finalized. It indicates high expectations for their in-house AP.”

For now, affected users may need to contact Samsung support and request an escalation rather than repeatedly resetting their passwords. The cause remains unclear, and Samsung’s official explanation is still awaited.

Samsung is giving its Art Store another scenic upgrade, this time bringing some of America’s most recognizable national parks to compatible Samsung Art TVs.

The company has teamed up with the National Park Foundation to add 40 photographs from renowned nature photographer Jonathan Irish. The new collection is now available through the Samsung Art Store and arrives as the National Park Service celebrates its 110th anniversary.

From Yosemite to Acadia

The collection covers a wide range of landscapes from across the U.S. National Park System. It includes views from Zion, Rocky Mountain and Acadia National Parks, along with photographs capturing Yosemite’s granite formations, ancient forests, coastlines and night skies.

For Samsung, the appeal goes beyond simply adding more wallpapers to its Art Store. The company has increasingly positioned its Art TVs as part of the home rather than conventional television sets, with The Frame and Frame Pro designed to display artwork when the screen is not being used for entertainment.

This latest addition follows several other major Art Store collaborations in 2026, including collections from museums and cultural institutions. Samsung says its Art Store now offers thousands of artworks across more than 115 countries.

The National Park Foundation partnership also gives the collection a conservation angle, helping promote awareness of America’s national parks while bringing Irish’s photography into people’s homes.

The 40 national park photographs are available now on the Samsung Art Store for compatible Samsung Art TVs. Availability can vary by TV model, region and subscription status.
