Relumino Mode Mobile: One UI 6.1’s accessibility feature you didn’t know you needed
Samsung brings Relumino outline mode to mobile with the One UI 6.1 update. Galaxy AI’s adorning features made any One UI 6.1 features underrated. No one’s talking about Relumino outline mode, which arrived on mobile leaving Samsung TV exclusivity.
With the One UI 6.1 update, Samsung brought Relumino outline mode to the Galaxy S23 series. The company’s premium Smart TVs introduce Relumino mode, making the content visible to people with low vision. It doesn’t mean a lot for you – I guess – but a boon for some!
Relumino outline mode
Samsung’s One UI 6.1 update installed Relumino mode on Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra. You can turn on Relumino outline in Accessibility settings to highlight the outlines of objects in images and videos to make them easier to distinguish for people with low vision.
Galaxy S23 users with a vision impairment or who face difficulty when viewing the screen can use Relumino Mode. This innovation enhances the screen’s contrast and brightness while emphasizing the outlines of images and shapes, making the content sufficiently visible.
At SDC 2023, Samsung displayed Relumino Mode, which is designed to improve the video viewing experience. By enhancing specific parts of videos, such as highlighting outlines and improving contrast, color, and sharpness, it becomes easier to discern and follow the on-screen action.

Samsung is rolling out the October 2024 security update for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 models in Europe, following the US. The update brings fixes for some issues that users encountered in previous versions to make your Galaxy S24 more stable and secure.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series are getting an October 2024 security update in Europe with the One UI build version given below.
- S921BXXS3AXI8 – Galaxy S24
- S926BXXS3AXI8 – Galaxy S24 Plus
- S928BXXS3AXI8 – Galaxy S24 Ultra
Users will have to download a 460MB package to install the update. The company will soon make this update available for all models.
October 2024 security update brings important fixes from both Google and Samsung, addressing vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and Samsung’s software. Google fixes 2 critical and 28 high-level issues, with 1 previously resolved and 2 not affecting Galaxy devices.
Meanwhile, Samsung resolves 12 specific vulnerabilities related to system services and Knox security. Additionally, Samsung Semiconductor has enhanced performance with a fix for 1 high-level issue.
Overall, the fresh update enhances the security, stability, and performance of the device. This update is based on One UI 6.1.1 and Android 14. The company plans to launch the One UI 7 Beta Program at the end of the year, initially for developers and then for regular users. The Galaxy S24 series is one of the first devices to get One UI 7 Beta access.
To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features.

Samsung will debut the final version of One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25 series next year. The upcoming software will be available for testing on the Beta channel in 2024. Will One UI 7.1 launch or be canceled as Samsung confirms One UI 7 with Galaxy S25?
Final One UI 7.0 is confirmed to be unveiled with the Galaxy S25 series. There are several reasons why Samsung might launch the One UI 7.1, as well as some factors that suggest it could be canceled or delayed for older Galaxies.
Is Samsung streamlining One UI?
As Apple is continuously upping its iOS deployment game, Samsung could focus more on delivering feature-packed major releases. Therefore, the One UI 7.1 is also suspected to be canceled, which isn’t impossible for Samsung.
We still assume the Galaxy S25 series will ship with the new One UI 7.1 software. It could be based on Android 15, the same as the One UI 7.0. The company might keep it exclusive to new Galaxy flagships for about two months.

Samsung has a history of bringing mid-cycle One UI versions since the beginning. Starting with the One UI 1.1, the South Korean tech giant debuted mid-cycle versions up to One UI 6.1. There’s another Fold/Flip-focused 6.1.1 version as well.
Previously, Samsung used to debut mid-year version as an incremental update. The initial x.1 version brought minor changes and stability improvements. However, the company has completely revamped its One UI software strategy.
Anyways, Galaxy users deserve the best features out there in the industry. Samsung is committed to continuously upscale the Galaxy experience. Whether One UI 7.1 arrives or not, new features and enhancements will arrive on One UI.

Galaxy S25 Series
The Galaxy S25 series could be announced in January next year. The company has significantly revamped its design strategy. Signature design language will live on, but other appearance-related changes are most likely.
In particular, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, won’t have a boxy design. Samsung has reportedly rounded the frame corners, making the next Ultra look more like the vanilla Note 20. The screen will be flat as the S24 Ultra and the camera design could be replicated.
Several Samsung users have reported issues when trying to use the Dual Messenger feature alongside the One Hand Operation app. This issue is quite frustrating for those who want to use different accounts on apps. Users are looking for a solution that will allow them to switch between accounts easily.
The problem arises when users try to launch the Dual Messenger version of KakaoTalk using gestures on the Samsung One Hand Operation app. Instead of opening the KakaoTalk 2, the original KakaoTalk app (KakaoTalk 1) launched.
This means that no matter how users try to switch between the two versions like swiping left or right, they always end up with just the main version of the app.
In response to these concerns, a Samsung community moderator clarified the situation. He explained that the current One Hand Operation + app does not support running the Dual Messenger app, which is why users are having difficulty switching between the apps.
He also mentioned that the team is exploring the possibility of adding support for Dual Messenger in future updates of the One Hand Operation + app. However, a specific timeline for when this update will be available has not been provided yet.
Several users are expecting that future updates will make it easier to use both Dual Messenger and One Hand Operation together. With these improvements, they are looking forward to a better way to manage their messaging apps.
