NavStar

Users who enable transparent hints in Navistar are facing non-responsive keys on the AI introduction screen. This is due to an overlap between Navistar settings and the new navigation bar. Samsung is aware and will release a fix soon. Users yet to upgrade to 6.1 should update Navistar first to avoid this problem.

AOD Changes

One UI 6.1 update the connected animation and setting structure for AOD:

  • The AOD clock is now integrated with the lock screen clock and cannot be set separately.
  • The manual brightness setting menu has been removed from the AOD settings

For those who prefer separate AOD and lock screen settings, Good Lock will provide a solution through the upcoming Always on Display (ver 8.7.99.11) and LockStar (v6.1.0.11) updates.

Flip Cover Glitch

A new bug prevents the Good Lock app from launching on the cover screen via the power button. This issue is arising from a recent modification to access the Secure Folder app from the cover screen and requires a software fix, which will be addressed in the next update.

Keyboard Issue

With improved dictation performance, new keyboard buttons have been introduced to enable easier voice input. However, some users report missing voice buttons, leaving a space instead. Samsung is actively working to replicate and resolve this issue internally.

As a temporary fix, disable the “Show keyboard buttons in navigation bar” option in the default and additional keyboard setting

Samsung apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these issues and is working regularly to provide fixes. However, the company has released new NavStar and AOD updates that are expected to fix some of these issues.

WhatsApp Reshare Status updates

WhatsApp is planning to bring a new feature to reshare status updates easily, just like Instagram. The latest beta update of WhatsApp for Android arrives with version 2.24.16.4, which simplifies the way how users share status updates where they’ve been mentioned.

The fresh beta update reveals that WhatsApp is working on a new feature for direct resharing. This feature removes the need for users to take screenshots or ask for the post to be sent privately as it makes it much simpler to share interesting updates on their status.

You can find the reshare button at the bottom of the screen on the WhatsApp status interface. This option appears specifically on status updates where someone has mentioned you. In other cases, you will see the option to reply to the status instead.

By adding a new reshare button to the mentioned post, WhatsApp aims to enhance user convenience and connectivity. However, you can still manage your status privacy settings.

WhatsApp Reshare Status updates

Previously, WhatsApp introduced the option to mention specific contacts in status updates to allow direct notifications to be sent to them. Now, WhatsApp is working on allowing users to reshare the mentioned status updates directly.

Notably, the new features are currently under development and the company will soon make it available for users. This feature is much like what users are already familiar with on platforms like Instagram. Stay tuned with us to know more information.
