Samsung Galaxy S23, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5 to receive full suite of S24 AI features
Samsung’s One UI 6.1 update is set to bring the Galaxy S24’s advanced AI features to its 2023 flagship devices, including the Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5. This update comes with a significant enhancement for Samsung users, offering a suite of AI capabilities previously exclusive to the Galaxy S24.
A well-known tipster IceUniverse shared a screenshot that reveals the Advanced intelligence menu on the Z Fold 5 smartphone, similar to the Galaxy S24. He also mentioned that Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will get all the AI features of Galaxy S24.

The Galaxy S23 FE might not receive the whole bunch of features due to its older processor. The rollout of One UI 6.1 is confirmed to begin later this month for the Galaxy S23 series including Galaxy S23 FE, Fold 5, Flip 5, and Tab S9.
There’s also the possibility that other eligible devices will start receiving the update in April, though official confirmation is still pending.

Rumor: Samsung plans Snapdragon in Galaxy S25 line, MediaTek in S25 FE
Samsung could rely on the Snapdragon 8 Elite (8 Gen 4) in the Galaxy S25 series. Some rumors indicating MediaTek Dimensity 9400 in the vanilla S25 seem untrue, as Samsung is reportedly considering it in the S25 FE.
According to a new rumor, the Galaxy S25 FE could use MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup could exclusively equip Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite or 8 Gen 4 (whatever the name would be).
The South Korean tech giant could not be able to mass produce the Exynos 2500 on its 3nm process. Some media reports that the yield rate is just 20-30%, which is way too lower than the required rate for mass production.
Samsung is reconsidering its product strategy to maintain dominance in the market. Recently, the company apologized to investors, consumers, and employees for slow innovation. We could see many major developments in the future.
The Galaxy S25 series should not compromise on the chipset aspect. Processor is the brain of any smartphone and Samsung must pick the best solution for its flagships. The stronger the SoC, the more attention the S25 series would grab.
Previously, Samsung promised to launch the Exynos 2500 based on a 3nm process. The company has been struggling with lower-than-expected yields. Now, the situation could not be improved and Snapdragon is the only solution to be opted for.
Snapdragon 8 Elite is being manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process. Qualcomm has also developed the Oryon central processing unit. The new architecture could bring a significant boost in terms of performance and efficiency.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra may feature Fold6-inspired camera design
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera design remains to be a mystery. CAD renders showcased slightly rounded corners of the next flagships. However, the camera rings continue to be a controversial aspect of the S25 Ultra design.
In a new leak, tipster IceUniverse claims to have final design info of the S25 Ultra. The leaker claimed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could feature the Galaxy Z Fold 6-like camera rings, which could be similar, but not the same.
CAD renders showcased a Fold6-inspired camera ring pattern. Later on, IceUniverse claimed that the S25 Ultra wouldn’t adopt such looking rings. However, the tipster now has updated information that the rings are identical to Fold6’s.
This means the S25 Ultra camera rings may not be as metallic and crispy as the S24 Ultra. Rather, the rings would adopt a textured design surrounding the sensor. The rings’ thickness would be higher than the rings used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

For now, take the input with a grain of salt as the final design could only be confirmed after the start of mass production. Well, the front side of the S25 Ultra will look even more classical than the S24 Ultra.
Samsung has further refined the bezel and smartly modified the overall dimensions. As a result, the S25 Ultra could be slightly taller and narrower. The company has also worked on reducing the thickness and weight of the next Ultra.
These crucial refinements are taken into account to solidify the sales potential. We expect the mega unveiling event by Samsung early next year.
